Never be afraid to say no to someone, even if it means losing a client. Your safety and comfort come first, always.

I'm so sorry you've been through this. I've had a couple of weirdo's but in-salon, luckily for me.

I would not go back and i would tell them asap, just to relieve your mind.

I also wouldn't work on anyone who i thought had a contagious problem. You'll cost yourself more in the long run, buying extra polishes and things.

xx

Absolutely do not go back there. Call and be honest with your reasons why. You dont have to face them again do it over the phone. Write it down so you dont get flustered and dont lose track of what you have to say.

Your safety is paramount babe.

Something for future bookings that I have found a real peace of mind is My other half made me use a google calendar for all my appointments and in the body of the appointments I ALWAYS have the address and postcode of where I am going. This is sync'd to his iphone so he knows where I am and a rough guide of travel time to and from. This also gives me peace of mind. Drove me bloody batty to begin with but now I would not ever not use it.

Lol also I find as soon as,during our getting to know you element of a first client, that I tell them he is a cop and i'm a volunteer cop I no longer worry ! !

Seriously hun your safety and well being is absolutely the most important thing here.

Deep breath give it to em straight we're all with you when you make that call. Xx xx

He was 'grooming' you and sometimes couples are in these things together.

I would be very apprehensive going there again if I were you and I would advise you against it.

i completely agree with this

I agree with all these posts re not returning to this house.

I like your idea of writing a letter to them and in that letter you should be very specific about why you will not be keeping your appointment with her.

You should also mention that you are reporting this matter to the police and suggest that it might be in their best interests to cease luring unsuspecting mobile beauty therapists to their home on the premise that it is an above board appointment.

Its sad, because there are so many m&f clients just looking for a massage. Not a massage with a happy ending - they should visit a brothel not a beautician - I cannot understand why it is difficult to digest that we are therapists not prostitutes.

I believe this is due to prostitutes advertising as "masseuses", listing proper massage names and then adding a semi-naked photo of themselves. This creates an image of whoever is offering a massage there definately should be a "happy end".

I feel really sorry for you and know where you come from.

Although I don't do massages, I was in a similar situation a couple of years ago. I was presented with a thick pack of £ 20 notes and asked how much I of it I would like if I agreed to stay for the night (the appointment was booked for 6.00 pm). My answer was "I just want the payment for manicure and pedicure" and to present with that client with the card of an escorting agency stating that they can offer better service (at the time my brother who is a web designer was working on their website and I happened to have one ). He did text me after that, but I asked him never to contact me again, otherwise I will report him to police.

Forget about going there and write a firm letter saying why.

Aboslutely right here.

You'll be asked to massage both of them next. Stick to your ethics hun and politely but firmly decline any further apps with these people.
I am a firm believer in "each to their own" etc etc, but you were clearly deceived by his wife - she should have told you they were naturist, that is if he was even telling the truth about his wife being in the know - and you were put in a very vulnerable position.

It can only go downhill wuth these people from here on. Xx

It's because of plebs like this guy that I don't offer any treatments on men!

Would he visit the barbers with his todger hanging out? Hang on, maybe he would as he's a naturist... hahaha

Seriously, it makes my blood boil! So because we're therapists you get the odd pervert who fancies his chances of extras?!!

Tell the pair of 'em to bugger off

I agree that true Naturists are not swingers .

I had a client a few years ago on holidays who was a naturist. He told me straight away he had on no underwear as he'd been on one of their outings and would it still be ok. I said it was fine as he'd be covered with the towel anyway. I learnt all about the naturist lifestyle as I asked him questions - never once did he even hint that he would like anything more. If only all clients were as nice as he was.

They are obviously swingers or pervs. Sack them both………you really don't need clients like that, especially when you're just starting out and full of nerves.

Make it a rule that you only treat women if you feel more comfortable with that. She obviously knows what he's up to.

Sorry I don't really buy this "naturist" thing when receiving beauty treatments. Fine, he may think he's covered himself (so to speak!) by asking if you mind, but really why would he need to be naked?

Like I said before, naturists wouldn't dream of going naked in a non-naturist supermarket, so why the need to do it when having a massage?

Does wearing boxer shorts or pants really take away the relaxing experience of a massage away? Are they really that uncomfortable? I can't see it myself??

If they want to go back to nature, then that's fine, actively seek out like minded naturists who don't mind them being at one with nature or naturist sites where it's full of like minded naturists who don't give a monkey's about whatever's flapping in the breeze...

I wouldn't want to tar all with the same brush, but the pessimist inside of me thinks it's another way of trying to push the boundaries a little...

Have a read of this :wink2:

Although I don't it's relevant to Laurasnowwhite's experience and I agree with those who say to report it to other therapists/salons in the area and the police. The police are unlikely to do anything but at least they have a record and I doubt it will be the first time they have done this.

HAHA, interesting reading. the comments about getting kit off whilst having a facial made me laugh!!

I was referring more to the fact that this guy was "inadvertently" showing his bits 'n' bobs even when he had his towel on.. Ooooh put it away!!

The client was fully drapped. He came for a massage and had on jeans and a shirt so in order for me to massage his legs he had to remove his jeans. He wanted to make sure I'd be ok with him being naked under the towel which I was.

Maybe you would be surprised at the number of men and women who don't wear underwear....ever...and it's certainly not to try it on with every one they come across.

I quoted you, but wasn't getting at your client, this was just aimed at the naturist aspect and mainly more so with the original posters client.

Oh and whilst you're at it, I have no problem if anyone chooses to go naked whatsover, it's the type of client who "may" be trying to cross the boundaries which may be the case on the original post causing embarrassment for the therapist and for us to all jump on the "pervert alert" bandwagon. Sorry if you took offence.

I really dont want to say this but .............

Just think ... Rosemary and Fred West ... that should make you think twice.

You are soooooooo right geeg  shocking x

Thanks very much everyone.

I have sent the wife a letter and will be screening my calls from now on (annoying as I might miss a potential new client if I don't answer numbers in my phonebook, but it's a risk i'll have to take for a while)

I have a trade test at a salon on Monday, which I really hope goes well and I get the job, then I won't have to worry so much about mobile:biggrin:.

Hi. Did you keep a copy of your letter? Maybe worth doing so. Not that i think they will get back in touch! Keep us posted if any developments! Xx
