Hi Everyone.

I've not long started up and have had a booking for brow tint and wax. I've done patch test for tint all ok. Just wanted to make sure i was right in saying that i tint first then wax??? I think i just need some confidence!!!! Also saw a thread about using oil for waxing??? I can't remember being taught that??? I thought the oil would act as a barrier to waxing??? I currently use the PHD wax system.

Thanks for any replies

I've always had my brows tinted first, then waxed, when having mine done.

You're totally right - tint first then wax - Open pores full of tint (not a good idea) a pre wax solution with an oil in it is so that the wax does not stick to the skin but on the hairs only so that you don't rip the skin off too : )

Hi

I would tint first then wax.

The oil acts as a lipid barrier (so wax doesn't stick to the skin) Fantastic stuff!
I use jasmine oil and it lasts forever, and as someone who has had a long painful treatment for the skin (it's been left very fragile even 3 years later) the oil really helps with not removing the skin which has happened so many times and is very sore and not very nice!

Thanks for all your replies and so quick!!! I thought i was right about tint then wax, i just need to have a little more confidence in myself!!! Where can to get the jasmine oil from???

As a rule of thumb, never apply any tints or chemical to an area that has just been waxed as it would really burn the skin and possible scar.

Cleanse
Tint
Cleanse
Apply a tiny amount of Perron Rigot, Jasmine oil (Thalgo 0207 512 0872)
Blot with a tissue
Apply you wax
Perfect with tweezers
Cleanse
Apply soothing lotion.

Good luck. xxx

Well that's a hat trick then

And from the chip shop, but you only need a tiny tiny amount.:smack:
