Hi everyone need some help / advice iv been a beauty therapist for nearly 5 years and have never had this happen before but in the last month 3 ppl have come back into my salon after an eyebrow wax with a small thin layer of skin ripped off it can't be seen at the time the next day there is a small scab now I dont think it's the way I wax as it would of happed before wot could be causing this to happen. Thank for any help in advance. X x

Hi,
This has happened to only once before, the client had been on sunbeds just before coming to see me,although she swore she had not, but i doubt thats what it is as its happened 3 times?
wish i could be of more help : )

Could it be that the wax is too hot? x

I had this once on one eyebrow of a longstanding client. I knew she was a bit underweight, but it turned out that she had become anorexic and had virtually no flesh on her browbone. She admitted that she had lost more weight, and covered the scab with concealer for a couple of days.
I probably should have picked up on it at the time, though :o
HTHs

Could be a slight change in your brand of wax, could be lots of things. If you put a very thin layer of oil on the brow just before the wax you will find this shouldn't happen. :D

Maybe the change in temperature. It has been a lot warmer recently so have you turned your wax pot down?
Are your clients on any medication?
As already said, it could be lots of things. Go through everything already suggested and see if you can identify the problem :D

Apply a tiny amount of oil and make sure you stretch the skin and remove quickly. Try to only use HOT wax if you can xx
