Freeform Nightmare

Hi,I have just started working with Freeforms the Edge version of Popits, I have done about 3 sets with the odd air bubble but nothing to bad.
Well I advertised for models to refine my techniques, first one came and no problems to speak of, I was pretty happy I could see where I needed to improve.
I had 2 more clients yesterday, the first client I have done before with party nails and she is a sever nail biter, but has been leaving them alone for me, good girl. But still very very short and very flat... as if that wasnt bad enough, all the while I was doing her nails her partner kept ringing her, and they were having a domestic..OMG!!
Well the upshot was, the freeforms took forever to do, and they looked awful, I had to re- apply product at the sides on some, the top of the nails looked good tho...
And the freeform lifted on a couple of nails, I think it must be because they were so flat.
Has anyone else had a problem with flat bitten nails and popits/ freeforms?
Just has I was going to start the other client her b/friend phoned to say he has broken down and she had to go pick him up, she had lovely nails as well, but she has re-booked for next week, tbh I was glad when they left, i was exhausted with my clients domestic.

Blimey Suze... what a day!

I don't know how you manage to be honest, I had my first 'real' appointments on Thursday evening and had a real trauma.. with people coming and going from the house and having an audience, I was a complete bag of nerves and was so hot and stressed it was untrue!!

I think I'd have been glad the second client re-arranged to, I'd have needed a rest in a quiet place :lol:

It was my first taste of a difficult appointment I often read threads on here and wondered what I would do..Now I know, Just take a deep breath nd try and carry on, not easy at all tho, when the phone is going all the time.
Thats why Im not sure if it was my fault the freeforms didnt work on her or hers..AARRGGHH!! lol..x

I guess these things are sent to try us... and must make us better people and techs, in the long run. Would love to give the forms a try though. Got to resist the temptation though as I'm trying to perfect so many things at the moment I'll probably overload myself...

It was probably the phone ringing all the time and the distraction Suze, cos you've done sets before and they've been fine.

I cannot get on with the freeforms, they are not the right shape and seem to come in too much at the sides in zone 2.
Popits are way better, better shape both at the sides and all round really. I've managed some good sets with popits, but pants with the freeforms.
Get yourself some popits, you'll get on much better, honest:hug:

I am going to buy some popits, but I havent had a pblem really with the forms, except on these nails, so Im not sure if its because they are so flat, have you done any flat nails with the popits?

Completely agree with you - I have been totally unable to get on with the edge ones. Popits - no problem!

sorry to hear the problems your havin with the freeform. Ive had the popits for a few mths now & still gettin bubbles which is driven me mad..lol. now i have booked a one 2 one with wee fee at creative to try and iron out my problems. hope you manage to sort out your problems xxx

I've given up on freeforms so was waiting to see some popits hoping they are a different shape. I can't get any freeforms to fit my nails. There seems to be too much taper down the sidewalls. This means you can have a good fit at eponychium but bare sides at free edge, or good fit at sidewalls but too wide at eponychium.
