Hiya peeps,
I was wondering if you could help me on this one,

I have a client with really long natural nails, she normally just has a french nno,
But today the length of her natural nails was much shorter than usual,
Although still rather long,

The client wanted her free edges extending a little bit,
So I noticed that when I applied the whites, on some of them I could still see the free edge under the white,
Like a difference in shade of white...

I did think about applying them thicker, But as her nails are long anyway, I would have to have taken this thickness almost up to the free edge I was creating to camoflage her own free edge.
I couldnt have got the nice slope in right....

Is there anything that can be done.?
I did end up making them a little thicker on the ones that needed it,
But this resulted in a lot of faffing putting more white on...and then me totally not being happy with the set :irked:

Also when refining I could see her natural nail at some of the sidewalls....

There must be a way around this easier than how I have done today...
as people must come across this all the time as clients nails are growing into an overlay length.

Thankyou

You're not alone! I've done this before.

Maybe try sculpting out with clear (butt upto the free edge) and then apply the white? Might work?

oooo In my head I can see how that would work !
Cool thankyou x
I'll give that a go on myself later on xx

I've done the same but use natural rather than clear. It gives a better 'match' to the natural nail when putting a thin layer of white on top hth:hug:

Let me know how it goes please. Not actually tried it but thought it might help xx

I would just work with a drier bead so the product was more opaque.
