OMG is anyone watching this Fur Trade on Channel 4... I am sobbing my eyes out here... its so appalling but yet I cannot turn it off... I never ever thought there would be such cruelty in the world in the 21st century. Totally barbaric :cry::cry:

i wont watch anything to do with cruelty - as yu say its barbaric, there is no need for it at all - i hate animal cruelty with a passion - those poor animals have to suffer at the hands of the most cruel ANIMALS of all - and they are humans

unfortunately it's a case of there's always someone who's gonna wear it so there will always be these horrific and barbaric ways of slaughtering some of these animals to put fur into the industry.
i agree with the lady documenting in throwing out her fur..... as the industry needs to be regulated if it is to have a place in society...

I'm so glad I didn't see this, I hate the fur trade with a passion!

These poor innocent animals that haven't done anything to anyone, why do they get treated (such a wrong use of a word) in this way? Simple, because people allow it to happen!
If there wasn't a call for it it wouldn't happen.
It's disgusting that animals are allowed to be killed for the sake of vanity, after all, that's all it is!

I watched that McCartney vs the fur trade a while back and it was disgusting, not only do they use the fur of these beautiful wild animals but also the domestic cats and dogs!

It just makes me so angry that some people have such a disregard for animals!

Because they've got money where their hearts should be, they don't care as long as they look good (which might I add, they don't)

Madonna was slated by PETA for wearing a chinchilla fur coat. We have a chinchilla called Gizmo and he is adorable and very small. Again, how many chinchilla's would need to be killed to make a coat big enough to fit people like her?

Just looked it up online, the coat cost her 35,000 pounds and took 60 (!) chinchilla pelts, that is shocking!

I never watched it because I knew it would upset me.

Now I know I could never be a vegetarian as I love meat too much and I do wear leather but a cow is not just about its skin as every part is used and they are treated humanely. Appart from that cows, and other animals used for food just would not exist in the breeds and in the numbers that they do if everyone was a vegetarian.

But wearing fur is something else, I just dont see the point at all. The fake stuff is so realistic these days anyway why bother at all.

Jen your not the only one who ended up in tears it was horrible truly disgusting I felt sick and so sad for those poor defenseless animals.
The last straw for me was when the man said some of the animals are skinned alive and you say them with there food on there heads I had to turn over the tv.:cry:
Couldn't get it out of my head for the rest of the night.
These people should be prosecuted and not aloud to make a living out of it no fashion accessories is worth all that torture.:cry:
