I've seen pictures of people wearing silver on their nail tips. It looks so effective! It's not just a bit of a sparkle, but solid block colour with real encrusted looking glitter.

All the ones I buy dont seem to have the same look!!? I dont want a sparkle polish which goes over other polish or looks a bit wishy washy on its own, But a proper solid glitter polish, anyone know what I mean?

Please would someone reccomend one to me :) Thanks Geeks x

Hi,

When i want to create a glitter tip i use solid glitter you can buy anywhere ( hobbycraft sell it) also lots of glitter on e-bay. I then mix it either in my pink acrylic to make a permanent glitter tip or i mix it with a clear nail polish and apply over the tip. Have a look in the nail gallery under nail art on hear click on any one of my images i think the first on is Black and pink palm trees but this will then let you look at all my work on hear. the nail your looking for is a pink and black glitter design. ( glitter & Clear polish) looks really effective..hth.. let pm me if you need any other info...

I have a really nice Gold glitter polish which becomes a really solid glitter with 3 coats of polish (I do the first quite generous, then the second a bit thinner and the third really thin and just to eliminate any gaps where the glitter has moved).
I find that you get a much better coverage if you let each coat completely dry before adding the next coat.
The brand I have is 'Colour Club' its a USA brand.
Good luck :)

I have 3 different types of silver polish...

One from NSI that is a lovely sparkly silver look but without glitter in

One from China Glaze that is a sparkle of all different colours (always reminds me of shale on a beach)

One from nubar that gives a lovely sparkle but its better to use a few coats of that.

This link shows you the chinaglaze kaleidascope range China Glaze

I would use glitter dust mixer and actual glitter.

if you really want an enamel rather than glitter...... nubar do one. I saw them advertised in scratch ages ago.......i will try and find a pic.

here you go.....i thought the glitter was a bit bigger than this though.
By Nubar: Heavy Silver Glitter
