I don't measure exactly but I put about 25% glitter to 75% polymer then try a bead to see if it's ok. I do have a shimmer glitter that has a tendency to look too green if you use too much of it though so I use a lot less of that. It's NSI opal shimmer but other than this one I tend to go for the 25/75%. So far no problems. hth
It is 3 parts powder to 1 part glitter. It is always best to measure it. Too much glitter added will cause your product to not be strong and break down.
i just use what i think looks nice, with glitters tho you have to allow for the polymers to "meld" with the monomer and they do tend to work wetter, because of the glitter content... aint had a prob yet
i have decided to have ago at doing glitter... did it last week and i dont know if i put too much glitter as i just guessed but it seemed a bit BITTY if you get what i mean when i went toput it on nail... maybe i need to make it a bit wetter like someone sugested here...
ill have another go using 3p power and 1p glitter...
can any one give any useful tips when doing glitter tips?
is it best to use pink or clear powder??? i was using clear but then thought pink might have been better??
if its just glitter on the tips. then I asked the same question a while back and someone advised me to apply tip and blend if need then apply glitter to tip with glue then apply L&P in usual way. This has worked for me. hth xx
You can use clear or pink on the nail beds with the glitter on the tips. I am telling you that if you have more then a 3 to 1 mix on the glitters the product will self destruct.
