No doubt many of us picked up the BIGGEST turkey from the supermarket ,staggered to the car, stuffed it with all manner of things and tried to fit it into that tiny oven and cooked it on gas mark 6 for 3 weeks.

served it up hot and piping with all the trimmings to the entire eager family.......scoffed for a few hrs all washed down with a bottle or tow of your favorite wine.

Everyone leaves the dining table to watch the queens speech while your left to clear up.

Well only a small part of that big bird has actually been eaten.

To the question......how many days/weeks does the left overs get served and in what varieties to the family .

OK so boxing day its probably served cold with a platter....then its curried the next day...maybe a Chinese the following and then the old man has to take turkey sandwiches to work for the rest of the year??

So peeps ...how creative are you with left overs????

Cristmas day turkey with the trimmings, boxing day cold and I make coronation turkey too ! kids have just had turkey and salad sandwhiches and I'm jsut boiling the carcass and what evers left for soup !:)

Xmas Day, Boxing Day, then I get sick of the sight of it and chuck it in the bin. Not good I know :(

Nope! None of us like eating turkey off the bone so we always have a turkey breast. Don't have to spend ages cooking it and then don't have to have any left-overs
What a waste to spend half the day cooking and washing up!
Turkey breast, ready made roast potatoes in duck fat, ready mash(which is absolutely divine) yum yum. Then just cook the pigs in blankets and veg. Simples!

My lot like a plague of locusts, entire turkey stripped clean by Boxing day lunch. (and it was a big bugger)

Roast turkey dinner, sandwiches, buffet and curry. My Hubby always buys too much meat! The cats enjoyed some too. :)

The persians didn't get much of a look in. Ted scoffed so many dog treats he was a bit poorly and had to give his tummy a rest.
