How much do I charge?

I'm colouring my fiances aunties hair on thursday, a full head colour, How much would you charge? I'm not that close to her but my partner obviously is, she's only coming to me probs cos she's skint but I've just forked out £15 for the products so what would you charge without me feeling awkward lol I hate this part when its family but I only do freebies for my mum lol Please help x x x

i would charge double what you paid for your product. So if you paid £15 then charge £30. Need to make it worth your while and £30 is very reasonable...if you weren't doing it for that then someone else would be charging her more.

I'd charge her what you charge everyone else!
I don't give discounts to anyone! You're running a business and if you do it for one relative then you feel obliged to do it for all of them and then where do you stop?
What if it's a relative of your best friend or a friend of a good friend. You have to draw the line somewhere.

Hi, charge everyone full price except your Mum, as Angelina says you are running a business , if you do one cheap then there will be another wanting it cheap , and being known as the cheap hairdresser doesn't really sound too good for business ,
people know they get what they pay for....
charging cheap prices suggests you aren't that good of a hairdresser , which I am sure you are a very good one ....
remember a gals gotta make a living ,

most people will feel more comfortable paying a decent and fair price for a decent hairdresser , also charge your petrol for going for the goods ect ....
you have to make a profit otherwise all your training will just not have been worth while doing
