I have decided to go for the offer that LA tanning offer with the hvlp 5008, tent and you get 3 litres of solution. do you think I should get 1 litre of each of the 8.10 & 12% or should I just get an 8% and maybe 2 x 12%. Once the solution is used I may look into changing brands but whilst I am training and getting used to it, it will do in the interim. I might love it and not want to change.

Also I am hoping to do Dance schools and they will probably want the LA disco. that is 18% dha. is there anything else on the market that is 18% dha or would you just add booster drops to 12% to make it up?

there was some really negative posts about La Tans solution a couple of weeks ago But some people love it, a woman near me uses it and it is very dark when its applied but the day after its not as dark as the guide 3 litres is 60 tans a good deal but if you make a mess of 60 people your out of a job dont rush into any thing is my advice try lots of tans before you buy your kit

after doing research I am more or less just paying for tent and the machine. the fact that I get 3 litres of solution is a bonus. I intend getting samples of other companies stuff. I am doing nouvatan training next week so I might even go for their solution but I still need to chose which solutions I get with my package.

I think with solutions it is horses for courses. I used coco bay for quite a while and never had any problems with that but the place I used to get it from has stopped stocking it and only sells fake bake spray now so I may try that too. I am open minded.

Hi,I use LA tan I got the offer and had 8,10 and gold as my choice,I now wish I had gone for 8,10 and 12,I really liked the Gold initially but now I feel it's a bit too gold, iykwim and consequently I have a nearly full bottle which I dont know if I will end up using.

The 8 is great for really fair clients ie red heads so it's good to have as a back up,though you could theoretically use a 10 on them.

I used my sample of Disco the other day and my client loved the colour. It doesn't last very long though and does tend to fade very patchy, this was used on a serious tan lover who regularly has spray tans with me and has been having them done with other sprayers for years. She really looks after her skin and follows her aftercare meticulously so I know it wasn't her that caused it to go like this.I had read up on this though and pre warned her that the Disco doesn't last as well or fade as ell,so she was prepared for this.

I have been trying out various tanning samples because I wanted to take on some other brands to cater for all my clients needs, requirements and not to mention from the advertising perspective for my business and I have to say the two I really liked were Nouvatan and Tantrick, both are absolutely lovely (this is if/when you want to try out some other tans in the future)

Hope all this helps,it is a good offer that's for sure, and even if you dont stick with La you still have the machine, tent and 3 litres of tanning solution at a very good price.

Its def worth it for the deal that's what I did but I wasnt too happy with the lotions as was previously said this was due to guide colour being a lot darker! I do have some clients who have liked it though but I also got some samples and people seem to prefer the look of Sienna and that it lasts longer too! My friend loved the Disco but said the same that she didnt have it for long, I've sprayed her with Sienna X 16% and she prefers that. But for the deal its def a good one to go for and like you say you can use the lotion to practice.

I'd suggest getting 1 of each, 8,10 & 12. You'll probably find the 10 is the most popular as it suits fair to medium skin and unless someone is very fair I usually use a 10% solution on them.

I use Suntana as my main brand, but recently I have had some clients wanting a more 'brown' tan so have started using LA tan as well. I have one client who loves LA disco as she wants a very dark brown tan and has no problem with how it fades. She has a weekly tan though.

You really do need to try out a few samples, you may find you love LA tan but also want to stock something else to offer your clients more choice in the future.

I settled on Suntana as a brough my equipment from them and got some free solution and I thought the same as you at 1st, I would use it to practice and then find something else I liked, but I was pleseantly suprised at how good it was for the price and have stayed with it ever since.

I would be happy to help you in any way hon.

a bit of background, i own a salon, and took on la tan alongside fake bake last year, now i do 10% fake bake and 90% la tan!!!!!!!! I never ever thought my die hard fake bakers would switch , all but one has.

I then was offered the chance to be an la trainer, and this is where i am now, still owning the salon and working there with my business partner and also training .

I dont think you will be unhappy with la tan. I love it , but everyone has different tastes. so get samples from as many companies as you can and try as many as you can so that you can feel comfortable with your choice.

Just stealing this thread rather than starting a new one, im basicaly in the same boat.

Im buying my tent from LA Tan because you get 2x solutions free. What % do you think would be most popular, I was thinking 10% and 12%. I have every intention of getting samples from tonnes of other companies but I was thinking of using these bottles for me to practise on family and friends to perfect my technique before I let my self loose on paying customers.

Thanks muchies!
