hi,
Hoping COLIN! might be out there please as i've searched for the answer to this- might be me!

Anyway WOULD YOU be able to advise on lights for spray tan tent. The 1 i've seen to buy is 1 single and uses a spotlight (not supplied) so must be normal bulb. £7.50 FROM TAN SUPPLIES SITE.

However i've read here that normal bulbs can explode if spray touches them! AND that this clip on version can pull on tent as quite heavy.

I'd like my service to be professional -just like a salon! so please advise on correct lights- you just don't know what you're going to get at a clients house- ususally lovely but dim mood lighting I find NIGHTMARE!

THANKS ALL

when i bought my sienna kit there was one in it and if i remember rightly it was a natural light light. the sienna site might even sell them if you check it out? x

Yes Sienna X do sell the clamp on lights but they are a bit more expensive at aroung 25 pounds plus VAT I think?

yeah i didn't think they were cheap, i'm sure i read that they don't get as hot as normal lights too? though i might have just made that up haha. i guess if that part is right then it will be worth the money. the last thing you want is for your client to burn themselves getting in/out of the tent. it's amazing that we live in a world where every little thing has to be thought about for potential dangers because there's always the worry you will end up sued.

I have the Sienna X clip on light, it doesnt get hot. Now I've mastered clipping it on it's great :o

I also do nails and it clips on my nail desk perfectly.

I bought my clip on light from poundstretchers, it cost £3.99 and then bought a daylight bulb from an electrical supply company. (bulb cost £3.99) It clips on the right hand side of my tent, doesnt weigh it down and because its a daylight bulb (blue) it doesnt give a shadow when spraying. Ive used it for a couple of months and had no problems.

Thanks so much for all your replies - i'm checking out all these sources as we speak- wish me luck!

i've never needed an extra light, but you could maybe try one of those head lamps. Like a little belt round your head with a torch on it, that way it'll shine exactly were your aiming at. I've seen them in Tesco £9.99

i bought clip on lights from argos. they are led and give a good light but they dont get hot... bonus!

you can get a clip on light from many sources we use the ones from ikea for around £2.99 but the daylight bulb is a must in my opinion as its energy saving and it runs a lot cooler than a standard spotlight which have been know to melt holes in spray tan cubicles, it is twisted and throws light off in different directions this casts very little shadow HTH

aha! so that is where I am going wrong lol. I bought a clip on light from ebay for about £4 and put an ordinary light bulb in it which is next to useless as the shadows are so bad it is often better spraying in the dark lol. Im off to find me a daylight bulb! so if my light can take a 60w bulb, should i get a 60w daylight bulb (cant see these in energy saving section) or should I go lower, also what is the difference between the energy saving bulbs and the blue clear bulbs? which one is best
