How does Lily Lolo compare to more expensive brands such as id bare escentuals?

I have requested a wholesale info pack and am waiting to try some sample, just wondering what you other salon owners and stockists think of it?

Is it good for bridal make-ups?

Does it reatil well?

Thanks

xxx

I Love Lily Lolo. It has been a good retail line for me as my clienhe ts love it too. Personaly, I didnt like the bare escentuals on me, for some reason it made my skin look chalky, where the Lily Lolo foundations are great on me. the LL eye colours are beautiful!

why not try the artdeco range i have the minerals and they are fab and i have bits of the others, the retail price is great and the profit margins are too. you can ask the rep to bring everything out to you and have play. Also artdeco is what they are using on dancing on ice, the pigments are great too

Bare Escentuals is NOT pure minerals. It has Bismuth Oxychloride in it!

Lynne - thank you for this!!!!! Didn't know that.

I love Lily Lolo. The eye colours...fabby!! Its like being in a sweetie shop with all the choice of lovely colours and very reasonable for both you and your client. xxx

Lily Lolo is brilliant for me Ive been using the foundation for a few years now and love it on my skin. Its the best my skin has looked for years also. Covers my few blemishes really well and lasts all day. I totally recommend it.

I say cozmetic lab, i bought after a recomendation from this site, its fab, sells easy, goes on lovely, great colours, great range and great price.

too true - we use GloMinerals (pharmaceutical grade) often post peels on our patients. We have had so much feedback ref Bare Escentuals, whilst some get on fine with this product, others simply cannot tolerate it due to this compound and develop hypersensitivities. Many have switched.

However I am not a big fan of lily lolo (no comparison with this one and Glo) and the price reflects this. Not wishing to offend - just MHO X

I am interested why it is no comparison... in what ways is it not as good?
ingredients?
texture?
appearance?

i don't mind paying more... but I'd like to know what makes these more expensive products superior. I don't wanna just pay more because more expensive equals "better"... what constitutes "better"

help me geeks :)

The pigments will be of a higher quality giving a better colour and the minerals themselves will be finer milled to give a more even coverage.

pharmaceutical grade ingredients, clinically advanced, high pigment minerals, triple milled - far far soften than lily lolo and many others, broad spectrum UVA & UVB - need I go on

I tired Lilly Lolo and i didn't like it at all. I found the coverage no very good and it felt quite dry on my skin and i didn't like the fact that the entire range was made up of powders and that there was no mascara. However the packaging does look amazing!!!!!

what do you other geeks use for bridal make up??

is mineral makeup best or are there more traditional brands that would suit better?

I use Cozmetic Lab for everything, even brides and proms.

i've now decided after using the lily lolo samples for a while i'm not going to go with it  it's not what i'm looking for and as somebody said before they dont do mascara or lipstick so i'd need another range to cover that.

now looking at buying barbara bort, art deco or cozmetic lab...

any views on these? and am i missing anybodyelse out in this quest?

i want it all, good value, attractive branding and of course high quality, haha easy to please? not me haha.

Coz Labs ticks all your boxes!
