if anyone knows.....................i have a back prob and was presribed meds for it - it was brill, and now been took off the market (this was years ago, tho i still suffer) but can i remember the name of the meds. im almost 100% sure it began with a P, ive googled it but cant find an answer, so my question is

do any of you know what im on about - im also sure it was a short word - and NO it wasnt prozac:lol:

Co-proxamol was taken off the market I think. It's not a short name, but maybe you got a branded one?

I don't know but would it be Paxil?

If it's been taken off the market why do you need to know? (I know that sounds mean, it's not meant to! Is it just one of those "I've got to know the damn name" kinda moments?!)
Was it a painkiller, or an anti-inflammatory? If the latter it could have been Vioxx, which was withdrawn a few years ago after reports of MIs and strokes. I know it begins with a V and not a P!

Just ask your GP hun,
it will be in your records and they have to tell you if you ask hth

Calla - yes its just one of those things, that when you cant remember - i just drives you bonkers.

anyway ive found the answer, and it didnt begin with P, lol, it begins with K - anyway the meds i was trying to remember was KAPAKE.

thanks for trying tho girls - even if i did give you the wrong letter lol

They have not been taken off the market hun,
my dad was on these up the beginning of this month and i am 100% sure because i have a strip of them in my bag hth

I got kapake its 500mg paracetamol and 30mg co codomol

Co-codamol is paracetamol and codeine, so be careful how much you take of it. No more than 8 tablets in 24 hours otherwise your liver will object!

I can't even take one of that strength. You should have seen me - lying on the couch, still moaning from the pain in my back, feeling terribly sick, with a splitting headache, and the world spinning round (well, it was in my head anyway) LOL
