Even though my main core of clients are for waxing treatments, I don't get many full body waxing clients (all body parts plus brazilian) (phew!)

The first one I did took me almost 4 hours and it was a mammoth task for both my client and myself :o... I almost lost the will to live by the end of it. :Scared:

I am now down to 3 hours on an average size client but this still seems excessive and is really hard work. I offer to do the treatment over two sessions but most clients just say, lets see how much we can do in the one appointment...

I am guessing clients that travel a fair distance find it inconvenient to come back the following day.

What do other geeks do who offer male full body waxing services? Is 3 hours excessive or about average?

I think between 3 and 4 hours is about right for me. I know my first was 4 hours ... it just never seemed to end!!

Yes. I take between 2hrs 15mins to 2hrs 30mins but I always book out 3hrs in case I need it. Sounds like you're doing fine. I had a guy a few months back who took me 4hrs 15mins as he was covered in hair that was so dense, I couldn't see his skin below. xx

It is a lot of work to do a full body on a man assuming he has hair on his chest, back and upper arms. I hope you are charging enough? Following a system and being really methodical will help you get through it.

im anywhere between 2 & 3 but its taken a while to get to that, plenty of practice and more wax less chat lmao.

i think it all depends on the clients hair and if he is having it done regulary or not.

ive seen you wax jen and im sure you do a wonderful job !!!

Speaking as someone who has this done, it normally takes my therapist Sharon between 2 and 2.5 hours to do a full body wax on me, including Brazilian... but then I'm not the hairiest person in the world ;)

Takes me about 2 hours but depends on the clients size and hair density.

For male clients I charge my waxing per 15 minute blocks. You find some men want a back wax and there really hairy whilst another only has hair on his shoulder blades.

charging by the quarter hour makes a lot of sense...you can give them an idea of how long its going to take so they can get a rough price in their head...and also you know you will be earning the right amount of money for the work involved.

goodness you guys all deserve a medal, I can't imagine waxing non-stop male or female without a break, I'd have to have a cup of tea halfway through. . . My longest waxing client takes me 2 hours or so.
But I've noticed lately that with people on average getting bigger, we are having to book out longer appointments for some large clients having full leg and bikini/brazilian. Number1kitty's idea of charging by blocks of time is brilliant, as I've often thought some clients get a raw deal if they have skinny little legs and patchy hairgrowth.

This is actually why I have my pricing with a scale. I post like this:

Brows $10 to $20
Underarms $25 to $40
Bikini $25 to $50
Brazilian $60 to $125

Of course these are pricing examples and you have to adjust for your market. This allows me to charge from hairless to hairy without much discussion about it. So far I have not charged someone $125 for Brazilian, the most hairy Brazilian I ever did was a cute tiny little woman that modeled for me at a trade show. Kim? Andy? isn't this the way life is? Unless we have waxed our models before we don't know what we will be working with. Surprise!
