I SEE NO REASON WHY NOT! Minx are for both natural and enhanced nails .. doesn't matter what the overlay is.

As calgel is an almost rubbery type gel along with bio i wondered whether there may be a problem with stretchability and the heating.I know it doesnt like certain hard gel top coats because ive tried them out of curiosity and they end up like crazy paving after a while.

What ends up like crazy paving?? Minx are very stretchable and I've never heard of a problem over any overlay hard or soft. Would you explain morte please?

Not minx Geeg i know nothing about minx.Im saying hard gel uv top coats.Because Calgel is quite flexible i think it works against anything hard put on top of it so it bends and the harder top coat then cracks.

I think she just wants to try the gold minx for christmas but she was asking me if it was ok over the calgel and to be honest i wasnt sure.I know its ok with other enhancements but bio and calgel are a bit out there on their own.

Oh right!! Well yes .. that is nothing more than elementary physics .. something hard over something soft .. 'something's gotta give' so to speak, and it will be the non-flexible hard gel. But in the case of Minx .. it is stretchable and will be just fine over the soft gel. Don't worry.

Remember Minx are just fine over natural nails which are as flexible if not more so than clagel or Bio. No worries.

Ok i will tell her she will be ok to go ahead thankyou.

I've tried Minx over Bio and haven't experienced any problems, so I don't see why it won't work over Calgel too.

Here's a pic I posted a while back ...

Just love the colours and tiny gold stones xx

I've used Minx over gel (Bio) with good effect, but heres a little tip. If someone is 'hard' on the ends of their Minx, try buffing the gloss shine off the surface of the gel with a spongefile or similar, I've found the Minx grips slightly better.

Downside is the enhancements need reglossing if you take the Minx off, but its handy to know.

Hi

If I'm giving advice I normally like to try the product out on myself first as I like to see how it reacts with me. Like most people I have a hectic lifestyle juggling kids, work, gym etc. My nails do get a bit of hammer so I figure if I can keep new & different products on most others can too. Maybe you could get a sample to try so you can advise from experience. However if you can't get a sample, the people who use Bio (which is similar Calgel) may be the best people to listen to as they're the ones who have used it with Minx

xx
