Nails Fallen Off .. :(

Hi there,

I dont 6 sets of nails at a nail and tan party last night, everyone was really happy with them and i made sure no one had any complaints with anything before i left, this morning i received a message off of one of the girls saying one of her nails had fallen off already, so i offered to go and fix this and she said no its ok they all arnt right and im working so im going to take them all off.. i really dont understand what has happend, what i done wrong or what i should do??

yes completly.. she is now txting me saying that she wants me to go and see them, she said the house was dark so thats why she was happy with them
but it wasnt at all xx

she has now said that they look as if they need filled in and has sent me a picture and they are fine.. apart from the one that has fallen off.. she is saying that she wants her money back.

If everyone else is happy i suspect she wants her money back for the weekend .What happened to taking them off ,ummmmmmm.If you are happy with what you've done i would offer to go and fix them .I know this can be difficult when clients are being difficult but if you give her her money back you open the flood gates for the rest doing the same. Go and have a look and then you can see if there is trauma to her nail plate and she has bitten or picked it off x

Offer to fix them or soak them off for her but don't give her any money back.

thanks girls .. has been a nightmare all day, texting back and forth, she sent a picture of them and the thumb nail looks as if it has been ripped off but she said she has a child and cant afford to be ripping nails off when she has paid for them, i done them for £20 as well. i havent heard from the other girls so im guessing the rest are all fine as well .. think she is just being difficult, i offered to go and fix the thumb nail that came off but she said too late i have taken them all off now. also said she wont be booking me again and will be letting people know ..

If you think you're work was good enough, let her get on with it. If she's one of those try it on for a freeby type of people, most of her friends probably will be too!!

Dont let her bully you into giving her a refund by threatening you. If she wants to bad mouth you, she will either way. I'd prefer her not to do it with her money back in her pocket and her smirk on her face for getting away with it :twisted:

Dont let it get you down, everyone comes across a difficult customer sometime, its just part of dealing with the public. xxxx

BITCH !! Never mind we all get clients like that.This emotional blackmail is so annoying if she cant afford £20 she shouldn't be getting them done nobody forced her to,probably regreted it this morning. You've got the other 5 who will speak well of you x

thanks girls.. that actually made me laugh a bit there.. yeh i suppose it is just part of the job lol.. yeh i will try get a hold of the other girls and make sure everything is ok.. they stay half an hour away from me and wanted me to waste more time, petrol and money to go over and look at them :s when i done the best and offered her to fix it and she never took it..

6 sets of nails? You must have been knackered! What sort of nails were they?

Like everyone else here says, if all the others were fine then there should not be a problem. I would offer to repair the one or two that have come off but no refund without removal at least! xx

How long did it take for you to do 6 sets of nails and tans in one night? it would take me a whole day to do 6 sets and tans. I take 1hr 20 min for straight forward sculpt on form. The only thing I can imagine is you have rushed your prep, if this lady has said there is a problem the next day then I would be straight over there to see if it was me,,,just my opinion hun xxx

it was acrylic nails, i dont do sculpture nails, just the extensions. so it was a hour for each set of nails. it was only one that fell off.. i offered to go and repair the one that fell off and i offered to take them off and her attitude was i have already bitten them all off so there wasnt much i could do with that. tans only take 10 mins each so that was under half a hour for they 3 so i went at half 1 and i was out by about 8 or half 8 x

strikes me as a bit fishy when you offered to fix any problems and she refused... she obviously just wants the cash back and is trying to bully you into it... (maybe you could offer her £2 as a token gesture seeing as shes admitted responsibility for the other £18!)

don't let this affect your confidence pet... there were 5 other girls there that were happy with the service you gave them and you did the right thing by offering to fix the nails once she saw them in a "better light" (soz, couldn't help but laugh when i read that - does she live in a cave?!:lol

I was thinking exactly the same,it certainly would've been dark cause it would've been near midnight at that rate,plus I would've been shattered.

AND.. it wasnt dark, i was in a house with a big light on, a lamp behind me and a lamp on my table i was working from.. so there was more than enough lighting. it takes me 1 hour to do 1 set of nails and takes 10 mins each tan that i done.. i dont 6 sets of nails and 3 spraytans... 6 sets of nails took me 6 hours and the 3 spraytans took me 30 mins so i had more than enough time to do it. i do not do sculptures, i do extensions with a tip.

I was not questioning how long it takes you nicole to do a set of nails, you stated you went over in the evening and done 6 sets and tans, and one lady was complaing, I was just commenting that to do 6 sets would take me a whole day and tans.

I sculpt on a form and do tip and overlay both L&P, it takes me longer to tip and overlay to free form sculpt, as I have to size up tips, apply, blend, cut. Whereas when sculpting on a form I fit a form and away I go ( after prep ofcourse) xx

yeh that is completely different from what i do tip and overlay.. just the way i was trained of course

anyway its all dun and dusted now, just needed a bit of advice to know where i stand x
