Hi all
Never has this problem b4 i have had 3 clients that came in last week for there 2 week maintance they all have white tips and then creative l&p (pink),I then pop on super shiney.
All have gone yellow:rolleyes::rolleyes: why is this ?
I then did the maintance and the yellow came of with remover no problem,
I then used wet look this time and i got a call today to say they are yellow from one client again :confused:

Can any one help ???

Hiya - do they use fake tan, or have they been using a sun bed? Given the weather recently it may even be UVA from outdoors. I'm sure some CND techs on here can recommend a different top coat to see if that can help you. Linds x

1 client has been using fake tan but 2 other clients are not all ane non sunbed people!!

Ok..... only other thing I can think of is contamination of your product, which would cause discolouring. I guess it would be happening on ALL your clients though. Let's hope some other geeks have some ideas...! Linds x

Yes i did think of that but im fully booked most weeks and this is the first time it has happened to me !!! let hope some one can help!!
thank you linds !!1

unlikely to be contaminated brush or l/p, as the discolouration wouldnt come off with the top coat.

I totally agree,
I will not be contamination of your brush, if the yellowing is coming off with enamel remover.
It is the top coat.
With the weather being nicer now, it could be that your none sunbed clients are doing more housework without using rubber gloves...or more gardening etc.....
I know me and lots of my mates have been blitzing our houses I for one over the last few weeks have used more chemicals than I have in the last year lol.

Check with them that they are following all aftercare advice hun.
Or alternitvely you could give buffing to a high shine a go,

Could you have possible have contaminated your supershiney ?
Just noticed that you have also used wet look, so that possibly rules contamination of that out too...

if I were you, next time I'd use another top coat as the yellow left with it.
if it doesn't work...

next time change your brush, and so on.
just to make sure it's NOT that.

but warn again your clients that smoking, sunbeds, and so on, can yellow the nails.

Deffinately the top coat thats causing you the problem otherwise it wouldnt return to normal when removed.

Also I would say its something the clients are using, moisturiser, chemicals, sinbeds, self tan etc.

How old are your top coats?

Sun tan lotion quiet often causes yellowing of the top coat.Quiet often you will have a client say they don't use a sun screen but its in the foundation or face cream.
If I were you I would change to a glass buff or a gel top coat.

I have one client who always comes back with yellow nails which clear up upon removal of enamel. She is a smoker and a fake tan user!

are they usually solar oil?? ive notce with some of my clients that if they dont use it on the acyrlic it can become discoloured n crumbley. where as my loyal solar oilers have nice fresh looking pinks...... maybe...
 give them a good scrub freshin

A few months ago i had exactly the same problem - i changed my top coat!!! I asked all the relevant questions but the clients didnt used sunbeds etc . . . . . . . I use Star nails UV sealer Block - its fantasic - touch wood this problem has not happened to me now. I did a trial ans error on myseld. Put my normal top coat on one hand and the UV block on the other - the UV block was the better of the two. Hope this helps x

I have clients who come in with yellow on a couple of fingers - usually as a result of having a curry - the turmeric is a sod for staining nails.
Also, one client sqeezes her tea bag with her fingers and that can stain on repeated use!
Also smoking, & all the other things as above.
