Hi everyone :)

I currently have a pumice stone on a handle (for want of a better description :green:) for my pedi's and want to get a metal 'cheese grater' style one, but I have seen the 'Ped Egg' and wondered if any of you guys have seen it, used it, what you thought of it?

Any feedback greatly appreciated :)

Thanks. xx

I have one that I use at home and love it. For work I prefer a professional one with a longer handle. You can get the cheese grater type ones with a long handle for your business.

The egg is fine for doing your own, but to save all the stretching and getting soaking wet; for greater flexibility of movement when doing other people's feet, long handles are MUCH better.

I have seen the advert but havent used it, I must say the amount of crap they throw away is disgusting, they must have saved it up lol...xx

It does look grossamundo in the add doesn't it? However they are very effective for removing and smoothing any dead skin build up.

I've always used pumice stone in the bath before, but this egg is more effective for sure for home use. Followed by a good slathering of 'Cucumber Heel Therapy' of course.

I have been getting my feet into summer mode as I'm leaving for OZ TOMORROW!!!! Had a great SpaPedicure yesterday at the salon ... thank you Gonzalo ... and I'm ready to go.

I hadn't heard of this so I googled it and found a "does it work" ad from the states. Geeg, you'll be pleased to hear that you don't have to wet the foot to use it, so no sogginess!

I'm happy with my Callus Peel treatments for badly callused feet, followed up with Flexitol heel balm for home use, but thanks for sharing!

I know you can use it dry but bath time is 'take care of the feet' time for me and I prefer wet to dry ... however it is my bathroom and I'm the only one who uses the Egg in my home (although Simon could do with it) so I don't need to worry.

I have a regular SpaPedicure every 5-6 weeks so in truth my feet are in good nic but in wintertime I go less regularly so do a bit of home maintenance.

It looks fab but expensive,
i use the ones with the long handles and i get then from Wilkinson's, at a fifteenth of the price hth

They do work and you do get all the dead skin off with these, the clients are amazed and happy to buy one to keep up with at home.

Well I was debating giving it a try and on your recommendation I will.
And I am not a bit jealous about you going to OZ tomorrow honest:cry:
Have a great time and relax for a while...

This is of course an excellent point!! In fact it is the whole point!!

My Pedegg was a gift ... I would never have paid the price they are for one myself!!

Blimey! I only went to sort out the tumble dryer and came back to all these replies :lol:

Thanks girls, I think I will go for a cheese grater type for clients, as Geeg said I think it's probably easier, but I think I will get one for me to use at home :)

Louby, I'll take a look in Wilko's in the next few days and Calla I've seen the Callus Peel treatments but are a little expensive for me at the mo but I've not heard of the Flexitol heel balm, what's it like?

Have a great time on Oz Geeg, like Suze said, I'm not at jealous!

 xx

Tip!! Ask for one for Xmas. Woolworths could do with the business. Imagine a high street without Woolies!!!!!!

Thanks Suze .. I'll not be deserting you all ... I'll check in from down under. Not sure about the relaxing bit I think our son will be dragging us all over the place!! Also doing a seminar in Sydney for some Aussie techs and SHHHHHHHHH ..... AND I'm meeting up with Carl (Nailzoo) and we're not telling anyone when!!! xx

Well now I am even more jealous, all that and Carl too, lucky lucky...x

We havent had a Woolies for a couple of years now, it's just not the same on the high street without it...x

Well, I'm sold. After all these recommendations, I'll be buying two for xmas: one for me and one for hubby

I saw them today in instore (formerly known as poundstretcher) think they were about £10 - was tempted myself!! :)

Just bought 1 on ebay for £3.89 incl p&p :)

I own it, use it, love it.

The instructions say for use on one person, no sharing.
Probably cross contamination/ hepatitis and all that other good stuff.

These types (metal) of callous removers are not allowed for California professional use.

If they were, I would use it.

I'll be getting one for my mum - she's always hacking at her feet with scissors, even though i ball her out when i see her! The mess she makes - makes me wanna:grr:

ive seen them on my local market for 2 pounds! was tempted but wasn't sure if they were an immitation?

I've not heard of the Flexitol heel balm, what's it like?

It's the best cracked heel balm I've ever used. It has 25% urea in an emollient base and it very definitely works! I sell it with my usual money back guarantee and I've yet to have a single return. If you want a wholesaler of it let me know and I'll send you the details.

They've got them in my local pound shop...either the general public don't wanna pay or they are being re-packaged eh?
