hi girls

I am wanting to do some polka dot nails using gelish. What is the best way to get this effect? A step by step would be great.

Thanks
Cath x

I did polka dots using shellac , painted my base colour cured that, then put a dop of colour on a ceramic tile and used an orange stick to do dots and then cure and top coat

This is very freaky, I have just logged in to ask the same question! X

it is so much easier to use a dotting tool, this gives you perfect dots everytime. Do a search on the net and you will find them quite cheap. You can then do all sorts of designs with this tool, it is double ended, small ball one end and bigger ball the ther end. HTH. Ax

I already have one! All over it! Feel a need to change my nails now x

I got a dotting tool & did my nails today with gelish. They look fab, I love them.
Thanks for your help everyone.

I used a micro brush I had from my lash kit when the little fuzzy bit came off, it does good round spots :)

The best way to achieve uniformed Polka Dots I have found is Konad Stamping. I did these the other day.

Yes the konad stamp is the only way to get perfect polka dots and this is what I use when doing just one colour, but the dotting tool is easy enough to use if you want lots of different coloured dots.
