I was wondering how many of you infil/rebalance clients wearing Calgel or Bio? My query is with regard to natural nail overlays only.

The reason I ask is that I am finding it takes me longer to infil than it does soakoff and redo and personally I think my redos look better, yet cost the same.

I am finding the same too. So what i've decided is to still offer the infills but I am now charging the same price for a Infills as a new set. I always soak mine off and re-do...I take mine off using the foil method so I have less exposure to the remover.

If they are going for the same colour or darker, I often maintain. I'd say it is 60% soak off. :)

I never infill/maintain I always soak off and redo I just find its quicker and easier and my clients rarely have the same colour. x

Thank you for your replies. How do you explain this to your clients? Many know that gel nail are infilled.

I always infill/rebalance, if same colour or darker only ever soak off if they want to change to lighter colour.
What are the problems your havig? I only did my calgel course this year and find with a NNO there is hardly any filling to do for an infill, never have any lifting either xx

I am not having any problems at all. It is just that it actually takes me longer to buff the surface of the gel and infil area in preparation for the fresh gel application. Due to nail growth one also needs to buff the free edge and file to ensure even thickness/thiness and neatness.

In this time I could have done a soak off (using the foil method) and with a blank canvas to work on, I just find the end result much nicer.

I have no problem with colour but I find that with french its so much easier to remove and start afresh, would be interested to know if anyone else finds this.

I agree with Jac Extreme.

I tend only to infill a maximum of twice as I find they look a bit thicker than I would like after that.

Yes, I do the same too. It's not a technical problem that I have, its a problem with the gel itself.

The clarity of an old set is certainly not the same as a new set.
Because soft gel tends to yellow, there seems to be a colour difference with the french infill.

Its also the reason why I have trained with Brisa, as there is absoloutely no discolouration.

My price menu states that I only infil once with colour, but I now think I am going to change this. I will just offer a fresh set each time and include the soak off in the price. I explained this to my client yesterday and she was very happy with this.

I agree with you *flower* that the clarity of a new clear set is just so much better.

Thanks all x
