Hi there guys i was wondering if you could help me. I had a full set of nouveau semi permanent eyelashes applied on saturday, but i already have lost 9 lashes and in certain areas there starting to look sparse. Im wondering if its something i may have done? i purchased there own make up remover so im using the correct one and only pat eyes when removing make up. im very careful and conscious about looking after them. ive not got my eyes wet at all. but every day i seem to be losing a couple of lashes. im even scared to apply eye make up incase of "disturbing" them. The only thing i feel i may have done wrong was have a bath both saturday and sunday evening. could this have encoraged some to fall out.? Im just wanting to know if it is normal to lose so many so early after application? i feel im hardly going to have any left before my 2 weekly infill. I really love the look of the lashes just feel a little disappointed/ Any advice would be great?

I know very little about such lash extensions, but my first port of call would be the therapist who applied them. I can understand your disappointment; I too would be miffed!
Better that you know now what (if anything) you've done wrong, so that you can learn from it. Are you able to go back to the therapist and show her?

Thanks for your reply. i really want to go back, its a little awkward in the fact its one of my close friends - friends (if you get me) my friend referred me to her after she had hers done. i feel bad aswell because she did them at a half price special rate £35 instead of £70. ???

I know part of the aftercare of having lashes is not to shower/bath/sauna 48hrs after havingthem applied, as steam can breakdown the adhesive, Id go back and see the therapist hun

Did she give you any aftercare information

yes i had a aftercare sheet. she didnt tell me not to shower or bath it was only when reading the sheet more indepth it said not to use steam rooms or a steambath. i didnt have the bath that hot and i didnt get my face wet. could thi be the problem do you think?

Hi there I do Nouveau lashes and this should defo not happen. Perhaps her glue is a bit old or as too tacky?? As part of my price I include a return visit the following week to check the client is coping well with them - has any questions and to fill in any areas that may have appeared. Your own lashes may just be falling out - quite normal - you may just have had the lashes done at the end of your own lash life and the therapist chose the longer ones to glue to (which is easier - is she new to the game??). Just ask her to put some more in... I am sure she won't mind good luck

Hi

I also use nouveau lashes, I am sure they don't do their own makeup remover (this is something they are developing) so which one did you buy?

thanks for your replies guys. it was a oil free eye make up remover she was retailing it wasnt a nouveau one. i think she is fairly new to lashes maybe 4 months or so?? i know she said she didnt like the nouveau glue so uses a different companies glue. i might give her a call because i need to fix a date for my infill appointment i just dont want her to feel im blaming her or but i do feel very disappointed. x

Yeh definately ring her, I'm sure she'll be happy to replace them. In regards to the glue, I hate Nouveau glue and think it is far to slow in drying so don't worry too much about the make as long as it is a proper lash extension glue with the right certification.

i think the glue makes a lot of difference ,some threads on here refer to some other brands that users arent so happy with,my customers go sometimes 3 weeks between infills and theres not usually a whole lot to replace hth good luck

I use nouveau lashes and I think the problem she may be experiencing is the glue? i once used a different glue and they just didnt last, or maybe (just a guess) she didnt apply the sealer ? thats a crucial part of the process as it helps seal the lashes in.

Let us know what she says when you speak to her.

Hi

Did you apply makeup and remove it on the same day that you had lashes? If so, this could be the reason as you really shouldn't touch them for at least 48 hours.

Other than that, it could be a glue problem or she has applied them to your longest lashes and it was their turn to fall out!

either way, get in touch with her and let her see them.

Hi there thanks for your input everyone. i gave her a call and explained the situation, and im going in thursday for her to take a look and pop some more in for me. i know she did apply the sealer so that cant be the problem. Ive been so careful with them as i absolutely loved them when they were applied and wanted to keeps them looking perfect. we shall see what she says. hopefully the lashes can be re applied in the places ive lost them and i can carry on having fab lashes.x

Hi jules yes i applied a little mascara to the tips and then gently , gently removed it with the oil free remover later on that night. eeek. i didnt realise i wasnt supposed to, she didnt mention it and there was nothing stated on my aftercare leaflet. damn it looks like i could be at fault then. since i lost a few i havnt worn any makeup at all as im quite scared to disturb them! Your input everyone as always as been invaluble. when i do have some more reapplied at least now i know what i can and cant do!!! thanks again. x
