Never thought of that but yeah they would be perfect size for hospital bag. Not thought about when to pack bag yet. Need to buy a couple of nighties and some new slippers. When were you thinking of packing yours? A month before?? Is that too early - I have no idea. x

I was thinking of starting it about week 30, like writing a list and picking the bits up and having it finished by week 36. So just getting one or two pieces at a time. My hospital put a list up of the bits you need it seems quite long, plus you need baby things, your things and a labour bag(so your nightie and warm socks and bits you need in the delivery room) x

I suppose once it's done it means you can just relax knowing its sitting waiting. I think there is a list in one of the books I have which tells you the essentials so will have a wee nosey at that and see what I need to get. I am all for the lists. Got one for everything at the moment. Hehe. x

Yes iv already been to the doctors and I'm going back in a few months. I think I ovulate every month as I get terrible pains each month. We try to just have fun and do it when we feel like lol thanks for all your advice x

I've been off the pill for 4 years now and nothing and every time I go to my doctors I get no help what so ever because they says they have done all the tests and nothing's wrong with me😞 it's so disheartening every month and a lot of my friends have started having children too which makes it even worse for me and my partner!
For the last couple of years I've not even thought about it and still nothing.. What can I do 😞

I'd go to a different doctor for a start, even a fertility specialist. Hopefully they will help you out x

Yeah every time I go they just fob me off because everything's 'fine and healthy' and I ovulate it's pants x

You should go to a fertility doctor they might be able to think of something but they won't fob you off I'm sure x

Yeah I will have a look into it see if they can bring me any joy x

I think all the symptoms iv been having lately are a good sign of maybe the pill completely coming out of my system. A different period, iv ovulated earlier this month (I think lol) and my skin is clearing up. I'm feeling abit more positive that I'm getting somewhere now! :) x

Serenity, they may have done your bloods to check you ovulate but have You had a hsg, partner had a sperm analysis and you an internal ultrasound? If you're in the uk then this is standard after your initial blood tests if you both havent got any children and have been ttc for at least 12-18months.

Just because you ovulate its not as simple as that. If you have all those tests and are still "healthy" you would be referred to a fertility specialist where you would be offered the relevant treatment, this may be IUI, IVF, or medication like clomid etc. This took me 18 months to get from drs appt to first appt for iui, and that initial drs appt was 12 months of ttc.

I'm on various fertility forums that and is the general route all over the country, with some minor variations? Obvs if something is found along the way then things will change as applicable. You may have already been through all this but if they've only checked ur ovulation then you need a new gp!!

Yeah I've had all that and both me and my partner are fine, I'm going to go back and see if there's anything else that they can do because they haven't given me and treatments/ medication, but when I've been back recently they just say it will take time keep trying and you feel like you just go round in circles after a bit

I'm sorry but thats not right, so your hsg, bloods, u/s and SA all came back clear, and your gp sent you home?! That is insane. I would have been so upset.

I appreciate its a public forum so you wont want to answer all these Qs, but are you both under 45? And you've been ttc for 4 yrs and have no other underlying health problems? No other children for either of you?

I would recommend going back to your practise (or finding another) and booking in with a different gp- ask reception if they have anyone who specialises in family/fertility as different gps do tend to have 'areas'. Explain you've had all the tests above and would like to know your options, dont be fobbed off. If they're all coming back clear and you've been ttc for that long then they should have categorised you as "unexplained subfertility" and referred you to a clinic.

In the meantime, I would also google fertility treatment clinics local to you and explain your situation, say you've had all your NHS tests done but cant get referred, can they help at all with advice.

Someone has conned you somewhere and this is a big deal, its not an ingrown toenail. If its what you want then start stamping your feet because otherwise you will hit the age limit at some point and no one will help you.

Good luck.

I know it's awful to hear each time you go

Will probably get told off now because this is directly to you (the other stuff would be useful to others) but feel free to PM me and dont let that one gp dictate a huge area of your life.x

I didn't resist very long! Lol. Ended up doing a test 2 days ago because I couldn't wait another few days. Was negative and came on today. Boo!

Oh well, another month of practising! Lol. My other half will be rubbing his hands with glee.

Just out for my dinner wondering around the Trinity Centre in Leeds. Walk past mamas and papas, couldn't resist going in. Oh my lord, why did I do it to myself?! I've seen THE most amazing bedroom furniture, not sure the Mr will be impressed when I tell him I want one of the sets that's priced around £750 :O

My boobs are back to being sore, hard, very lumpy and veiny again. They were fine round the time I was ovulating (which was abit different to normal) but now they are sore again. I don't normally get this before and after ovulating, iv heard it's normal though? Also does anyone get wind right after ovulation? I just feel so awful now, I wake up really early as I feel sick and really windy! X

I only get this when due on and pregnant. Bear in mind you're really in tune with your body now and noticing everything its doing which you may not have before, like you'd probably not thought anything of being windy. Where are you in your cycle?
