Just make sure that ex of yours doesn't get the chance to see it ! Lol xx

Don't encourage her it just screams working class sheep. It may sound snobby but it does not exactly open doors in your life and being young she should leave her options open.

harsh!! especially on a thread that's for people who enjoy tattoos!!

I had a good few of mine when i was working as a specialist physiotherapist, didnt do me any harm.
HOWEVER.......
A lot of employers still do not like visible tattoos and make you cover them with bandages. As much as I'm tattooed I wouldn't be encouraging my daughter to get any, as the one I got when i was young is crap!! xxx

Think your comment is very harsh, it could of been written a bit nicer. Having tattoos does not necessarily close doors in your life! 99% of the people I meet don't even know I have tattoos! If she was wanting her face inked then fair enough but the shoulder is a good place, easy to hide if need be (of an employer has a no visible ink policy)

This is a little harsh, I think tattoos are the complete opposite to 'screaming working class sheep'.

Tattoos show individuality, they are a piece of art.

I have visible tattoos and it hasn't kept me from getting a job. My full time job is in health care in which my patients can clearly see my ink. Many ask about them but none have never been mean about it. Having tattoos is no longer taboo. Just because my appearance includes ink, doesn't mean I'm trouble. In fact, I have a respectable, great paying job that allows me to meet people from all walks of life. Never judge a book by its cover!

Yes ok a bit harsh but these days it does not mean inviduality. It comes across to many as uneducated peasant. If I go on holiday and im surrounded with tattoos I know im in a cheap destination. I would not want my child to get one until he is finished his education and settled and suspect by this time he would have the maturity to realise most people don't want to visit a GP, lawyer accountant etc with tattoos and woman like myself avoid men with tattoos they look terribly common. Sorry but I know others feel similar and when your young your have opportunities so don't spoil them before you really know yourself.

How on earth does ink on your skin mean you're an uneducated peasant please? Not sure how you've come to that conclusion. My doctor has tattoos. My mum, a retired teacher, has tattoos. Clearly not uneducated.

should your child need medical attention and the doctor had tattoos would you think he is too common to treat your child?

I was going to start my post with "here she goes again"

You continue to project prejudice, rudeness and snobbery! But whilst I'm again shocked.. I'm not surprised! It's what I expect from your uneducated and unfair posts!

Uneducated because of a tattoo?! Some how I think not!!

If you go to see a doctor, lawyer you would not see the tattoos, it does not make them unless able to do a job than anyone in this industry!!

So people with tattoos go to cheap destination's??? Again you are judging people for the ink on their skin.

So people with tattoos are cheap / common according to you? Why post something like this on a thread for tattoo's.

You clearly don't like them so why even look on this thread!!
