iv just been for s spray tan at a local salon doing a half price offer just to check out the competition. my body is ok but my face is now bright red and isnt fading whilst my neck looks like iv been strangled. should i try and scrub it off or leave it a bit longer? at least iv learnt if the price seems too good to be true the tan probably is aswell x

ooops ..... what tan was it?

give it time.. i would ride your time out, sounds like it couldnt get any worse! Maybe you might turn golden in the next few hrs.. Never heard of a tan going red??

 Poor you. How long ago did you have it done? If it was this morning I would be tempted to shower and just gently ex foliate then loads of moisturizer to try to blend whats left. You will get more experienced advice I m sure. Good luck.

to be honest i didnt ask cos the service wasnt very friendly. i did make it clear i only wanted a light tan as my skin is very pale. apart from my face i look like im from the carribbean. not impressed!x

I'd give it the full development time and then see what its like when you wash it off, might just be a strange colour guide or something? I often look like I've been to the carribean when i'm developing, might be nice you never know :green:

Is this the initial colour guid or the tan outcome you are refering to?

Its probably best just to leave things as they are and it will naturally fade...wouldn't recommend exfoliating harshly right now as this may irritate the skin further or result in white patches....maybe start gentle exfoliation after 3/4 days to speed things up a bit.

Oh and best only go out in the dark...sorry wouldn't resist :lol::lol:

If you are referring to the colour guide and you haven't washed it off yet, try not to worry. I have heard of some tans having a very red colour guide. Try not to worry! I think if it hasn't developed yet, washing off the colour guide and exfoliating could make it look worse.
