This will be my first Christmas working as a nail tech.

I am under the impression that clients like to jazz things up a bit around the party season?
So I have been looking for ideas, so that I know what I should have handy - just incase my clients decide to go all funky at Christmas!!

I can't afford to go mad, so just wanted some pointers really as to what are the top 5 (or less!) must haves / most requested for Christmas nails?

Cheers!!

You cant go wrong with rhinestones and glitter nail stripers, they all go glitzy at crimbo
and maybe some nice Christmas nail stickers, you can get these from Nailtopia hth

Cheers Louise.
Is there a particular brand of glitter striper that you'd recommend? I've heard that some stripers are better than others?

Do EZ Flow Boogie Nights powders need to be capped in clear?

Yes they do otherwise you'll file off the holographics in the glitter.....you cap everything anyways lol!

LOL
Well yes that's true!
But after my recent poll, I have decided to ditch the capping of my pink and whites.

Oh my God, my tummy hurts! I can't stop laughing!!

My clients tend to be fairly conservative, opting for a few snowflake stickers or the odd rhinestone . . . this year I'm offering glitter acrylics as well however, so we'll see how they go . . . I'm predicting the glitter French will be more popular that the whole glitter nail, but anyway looking forward to finding out.

Lol....cap your glitters and designs, leave your P&W alone!

I've been looking at the Nail Graphix glitters, they look nice.

Nail Graphix are cool but you need a mountain of clear powder to mix them with.

Lol, I hadn't realised they were plain glitter. Boogie Nights it is then!
Cheers babe

I got some glitter stripers from the trade show in London earlier this year, they were from millennium, really good, you get a nice thick amount of glitter when you do the flicks rather than a sparse covering

Great, I will track some down. Cheers babe

gelly,
I'm just writing out my Christmas shopping list as well !!

the best glitter stripers I have bought are the nubar ones maybe a little more £ but great quality and you CAN use the brush !! (I need some more...)

I did do alot of glitter tips last year, I have the metro and Mosaic range which I have mixed to make loads of colours, but I'm going to have a look at the boogie nights at the weekend,

and like has been said get a good glitter top coat even the clients who wouldn't go for nail art will have a coat of bling over their P&W Christmas week, my all time fav is the inm northern lights,
just keep it simple and don't go mad buying shed loads of 'stuff' you'll never use.
o0h heck my shopping list for sunday has just grown too !!!

Xmas nails on a budget.

Polish, acrylic paint & craft glitter in xmas colours-red, green, gold, silver. Oh and red gems.

I use red gems as holly berries, paint the leaves in acrylic paint. I paint ribbons on red/green polished nails to make them look like presents. Paint a xmas tree on a gold nail.

Gold tips with a holly berry are my fav.
