Hi

I use millenium french white tips with half wells.

I am trying to reduce these further to get a deeper crisper smile.

I was shown how to do this - and the person that showed me made it look SO EASY!!

But i cant do it!! perhaps one out of every 6 i do with be ok!

The problem is my smile goes wonky and not at all symmetrical.

Am i being too heavy handed with my file?

Would i be better with curved scissors?

Thanks once again !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Which type of overlay are you doing?

...if L&P why not learn to use the white powder to create zone 1 and your smile..

or if it is a wrap then you could try More than White....

If you do a search on More than White you will find loads of good feedback and Geeg has written a tutorial on how to use this product...

Using curved scissors is another option and the one that I personally use if using white tips. I feel I have perfect control with scissors.

There is no right or wrong ... just what works for you.

If you are not achieving what you want using an abrasive, then try the curved scissors.

I do L+P and Gel.

Also....do you know where can i get some of these scissors?

Thanks v much

Designer Nails do sell them. But I would think any whole sale outlet would also sell them.

Toots & Co on EBay sell nice curved scissors!

Hi babe,
Right the trick is to have you file move in a straight line down the tip.......
Sometimes when filing the file might move slightly to one side, hence the lop sided look...........
Do it nice and slow and have the file moving in an absolute straight line.........
Maybe holding the file slightly different will give you a better straight movement...........
I have added this piccie for you to try this out xxxx
Hold the file like this and use the thumb end to file out the well area......... equal pressure on the file and tip, this in turn will give you a nice smile line ... Then use a cotton bud dipped in acetone or scrubfresh just to sharpen the smile line, just run it along the edges of the filed smile line xxxx
HTH
