Hi guys,

I used to get the cracked skin look a while back but was not really looking after tan no oil free moisturisation :o
So I now use an oil free moisturiser everyday, and my tan is looking brill apart from my snake legs!!
I don't know what to do with them, have tried mositrurising everyday not working! should I spray some oil free spray on my legs as I do my feet etc before tanning? its driving me nuts! HELP! lol just about to do tan shortly... xx

It could be that you are spraying too heavily in that area? as you get down to the bottom of the leg you tend to slow down a bit and more tan will come out in one place? just a thought...

I don't spray my self I use a mit xx

i had the same problem with my legs. i ended up putting loads of baby oil on my legs then wrapping them up in clingfilm. i kept the clingfilm on overnight. i repeated this for three nights, then had a really hot bath. i didnt exfoliate in the bath i just soaked for about 20mins in the hot water then i used a dry towel to buff away the dry layers of skin. this really worked for me it just means you will have to give the fake tan a break whilst using the oil. good luck x

I'm gonna try the clingfilm again with the oil free moisturiser tonight, if that does'nt work I'll give the oil ago just hope its not sunny brown top half & white bottom half not attractive lol xx

This happens to me, it may sound silly but I find if I am dehydrated it happens more, if one week I drink loads of water my legs are OK I also get the snake effect on the top of my arms.
I have just scrubbed the last of my tan off with baby oil ready for a new one tomorrow:D
Thank god I'm not going oot today I hate being soooooo pale:D

oh me also, i never tan mtself with the gun as i cant get the angles, i use nouvatans mousse and a mitt ... fantastic . people always comment on how healthy i look lol... :o

I was like seriously I thought I looked too dark! its xen tan I said :D xx

This would be normally from dehydration of the skin. Also i would recommend checking if there is a high alcohol content in the tan that you are using because if there is then this can lead to the classic 'snake skin' as the tan is wearing off. As we all know the alcohol dehydrates to our skin which contributes to this. Other things i would recommend would be to give your skin a bit of a break and ensure there are no reminants left on the skin from the ast tan before reapplying. Then once you have reapplyed the tan moisturise twice daily to prevent this happening again.

Will be intresting to see if it is maybe the ingredients contributing to this ... let us know how you get on x:D

Checked ingrediants, it is paraben free, fruit acid free & alchohol free, so must be my skin, my mum says her lower legs are the driest part of her body too so must get it from her! lol
I clingfilmed my legs for 3 nights with oil free moisturiser, than tan did'nt like it too much but legs seem much better now :D still using moisturiser every night & am have not shaved for 2 weeks, getting an epilator ordered this week. Fingers crossed no more snake legs! lol xx
