The Best Way Of Applying Your Paint on White Gel?

hi geeks,i was just curious to see what application technique you use to apply your paint on white gel?
for me i have found the easiest way is to use my dotting tool and then sweep the smile line if needed.
im sure you have all got your own ways of doing this so i was just curious to see what they were and i also thought this may help anyone who still struggle to apply this.

I apply with a brush and push it from behind (tip from Bagpuss)

I can usually position it pretty accurately so only occasionally need to sweep the line

I apply mine with my gel brush, prefer to paint it on vertically. Just the same as I apply my french polish. I swipe the smile line if I need to. Its nice and thin so settles really easily with no streaks. x

I apply mine with the POW brush from north to south as opposed to going left to right on the free edge.
Like Adele, I can position it quite accurately and rarely need to sweep, that's practise for ya, it's taken a while to get there :wink2:

Same as the others for me, I put some POW onto the shiney side of a handsdown pad and brush it on from there!

thanks Adele...:hug:....I place a bead of white gel on the tip area and push it in to place with my brush from behind...I rarely need to to swipe now...:green:

I still have to swipe! I have never heard of applying it with a graham pad before tho, how is that done?

I don't use the brush in the bottle for one, I use my gel brush and apply it like a small bead and push it from behind ( like a L&P bead) I do swipe it but ... I'm being to picky !!BUT I don't use the POW that often I do prefer the sculpting gel, it does what I what it to do and IMO looks better, for toes I always use a dotting tool soooo easy

According to this thread it seems that not too many CND techs use the brush that's in the POW bottle. Myself -I prefer the dotting tool too.
Could a CND team member/ product developer/ educator tell us how to actually use the brush in the bottle?. It must be good once you know how to use it; I don't think Brisa POW would be in a polish-like bottle without a reason.
I just haven't been taught how to do those even, naturally round smiles with it and it seems that many others haven't either

No different to how I apply French free edge enamel.

Thanks Sandi I did read that.. I was actually just wondering how to get the smile line even? And how to get it deep(ish)?
Your way does sound worth trying but I never even get my french polish even and neat painting from north to south. I'm happy with my FP following Geegs advice and painting left to right in one swipe. I just don't get it right with gel, either way. And with gel, I wouldn't paint my smiles straight anyway, I prefer them to be deep enough to look good even when grown out as the clients can't remove it themselves.
(does that make sense..? sorry my English is nowhere near perfect..)

Sorry for the confusion, get a brush load of POW then put it onto the shiney side of the pad, then take what you need with your gel brush and apply the smile. Its nothing technical! I can imagine you thought, how the hell does she apply the white with a handsdown pad!! lmao!
