Hello....

I had a call 2 weeks ago from a desperate lady who is getting married tomorrow....she said she had been to have her nails done for her hen night and they where horrid...she had hoped to keep them and have them infilled the day before her wedding but doesn't want to go back as they are not what she wants.....

She said she asked for natural looking short french and got....porn star nails (we all know what they look like...:Grope:)

Well she arrived this afternoon with bare nails...she said she couldn't cope with them and pulled them off....to be honest she had nice nails but very small and dinky.

I went through with her my ideas and showed her my soft white POW and etc....she said..."I trust you...do what you think is best"

I have had things like...they look amazing ect but for someone to say "I trust you"....wow !!

She had a NNO with warm pink and soft white with a opalescent top gloss and loved them...i even got a

I thought it would be nice to share some stories of things clients have said or done to make you feel good....makes a change from the moaning client threads...

see! thats why we do this job!
One client like that wipes out 5 snotty ones.

Great up beat thread Angie.

A couple of weeks ago I had a new client in for a mani, pedi and some waxing so she was there a while with me, at the end of the appointment she said that she feels like we've been friends for years because she felt so at ease with me.:green:

I have been told many times that I actually listen to what the client wants rather than just getting on with what I want to do, which has been their usual experience with other therapists, specifically the case with eyebrows it seems!!

I don't want to jinx myself but as yet I haven't had any customer complaints and it's nice to know that they not only like what you do, but that they like you too.

I just don't have snotty clients. I guess I must be lucky! :)

I have a client who sadly is now very poorly and terminally ill and has a very short time left with us..she was 39 last week.

She has been a lovely client and a pleasure to treat. Its been very hard for me knowing what to say in the final stages, I have kept in touch and last week went to see her to treat her to a pedicure for her birthday.

She hugged me and said thank you for being not only for doing her nails over the years but also being a friend. Those comments mean so much to me and she will always be remembered as one in a million and an inspiration for the way she has coped with her illness.

I had a lovely text this morming from a client that had a Hollywood wax yesterday. It said.....
I love it!! Thankyou for making it such a fun and relaxed experience. I'll see you in a month. Awwwww bless. xx

aw i have lovely clients they all say nice things to me lol.

thay always comment how relaxed they feel, and also how they've never found anyone better! haha, SCORE!! :D

I think you guys should be told what a great job you do. I suffer from a lot of pain, which can get me down on occasions. I have always loved nails, and my appointment for infills is a big highlight. I come away with gorgeous nails, and some new, colourful artwork that makes me feel great. I get treated like a VIP, and for an hour and a half I feel special. Not only that, but in the weks after, whenever I look at my fab nails I smile.

If a set of infills can do that for plain old me, just remember what an effect many of you must have on your own clients. Treatments can be more than the odd bit of pampering, they can mean a lot to people. Lap these comments up, because you do a more important job than you sometimes realise! It's just a shame you don't hear more of them.

Enough of my ramblings now...

but thats lovely Louisa.

I have one client with ME, she comes in every week for a 90 minute massage.
She is not afraid to tell me what she wants, and I now have the extra towels ready to support, I have a lavender wheatbag in the towel cabi ready for her feet, and when she comes in I take total control.

She sighs, purrs and tells me how wonderful she is feeling throughout the massage. She always looks 5 years younger after her massage and she always compliments me.

I think its refreshing to have a client tell you how they feel as most clients lie completely still, jump up the minute you finish, rush to leave without saying a thing.

Totally agree, I cant believe how gooey some people go over a hand massage, but it just makes me feel good as I must be hitting the right spots.

A friend of mine refered someone who she knew rto me so that I could do a full body massage on her because she felt a little low, well... it transpired that she was bereaved and I only found this information out when I finished the treatment. She now has regular FBM and told me that I have changed her life forever.

I've had one that kissed and hugged me and waved when I left in the car. Sometimes she cried.
I'm still in touch as a friend and stay for hours.
She's nearly 90 now.
Best thing she's ever said is "I love you, you are so special and I pray for you every night to keep you and your children safe"
I'm not a religious person but to now someone cares enough about you is a fantastic thing.

Yesterday, I had a new client return for her rebalance & she sat down and said - These are the best nails I've ever had, then when I'd done her rebalance (colour change too) she told me that they were fantastic and loved them.

Just tonight, my last client of the day, a regular came in. I asked her how she was and she basically said she was fed up, down in the dumps and didn't know why she felt like that etc.
I rebalanced her nails from pink & whites to silver glitter french with a soft sparkle on her nail bed, she loved them, they're fab! When she left she thanked me very much for cheering her up & said she felt so much better and went out the door with a spring in her step & a smile on her face.

Another client comes and each time she get 'in the chair' she says she's really been looking forward to coming & loves our little chats and she says I always make her feel much better and happy & great nails into the bargain. She lives alone as she lost her hubby suddenly 2 yrs ago.

I think it's really great if we all make our clients feel good & they feel special & cheered up when they leave. Makes the job a pleasure to do just to see them so happy. It's these kind of clients you know will stay with you.

See, I really think that we are selling the whole experience, we are giving our personality, our knowledge, TLC, the importance of touch, making someone feel 'special' for that time that they are with us, and a feeling that they are doing something for themselves.
