Well today I have agreed a start date to rent my room in my local Leisure Centre. I have put my price lists in reception and posters on the walls, Gumtree and flyers through doors.

I am just wondering if there is anything else I can be doing in the mean time before I start next Tuesday?

I am so nervous.

Any advice appreciated.

Thank you

i don't really have much advice re. advertising apart from making sure your number is available at places like yellow pages and 118 188. i just wanted to wish you good luck to be honest! <3

x

Ah thank you thats very nice of you.

:D

Is there a local paper or magazine that you could put a little advert in? Maybe a free-ads that gets puts through doors or anything like that? Then people who perhaps don't normally visit the leisure centre will know you are there.

Good luck, hope it goes well xxxx

Contact your local newspaper. Have them do an article on you (free advertising) for your grand opening. Also, if you make your grand opening (I'm assuming this is your grand opening) big enough, you may even be able to get the radio out at your salon. With the radio you could do -- free 10 minute hand massages, free consultations, free (or $1) tanning, whatever you are trying to promote.

Hope this helps.

I get 90% of all new business from my site - if you don't have a website that pops up on the popular search engines - you might be invisible to 90% of potential new customers.

You really need a website and sustain it's promotion on sites like FaceSpaceMyBoBeBook etc

pm RuthMills here for 'right price' advice!

hth?

Jason.

Thank you, I have a website, I just dont seem to get a business from it yet, but I suppose I have to be patient.

Thank you

As some of you may know by now, I'm all loved up with Facebook & for me it has brought in loads of business. More so than my website.

So if you aren't already on fb, get yourself on there. But don't just do a page then expect to get business off it straight away - you need to spend time on it. Will be worth the time & effort.

Thats a really good idea, thank you.

I am doing more door drops today, I hope that will help.

Thank you again
