I have been waxing 5 months so not long using pot/spatula method.

Feed back has been the clients left quite sticky. SO i have tried:

Talc before wax
a roller wax system (which has helped)
oil after wax

Still having a few probs and would really like to get this sorted.

Any tips please people? So far clients are coming back.....for now!!!!!!!!!!!

Clean skin
Oil before wax, not talc
wax
clean skin again
soothing and restoring lotion after wax

Have a try with this combination and let us know what difference it makes.

I do as calla stated above but I also apply some oil in my hands and massage this over the waxed area, then take a clean paper strip and whilst still supporting the skin, I wipe the strip down the waxed area where I have applied the oil and this takes off any sticky residue that might still be present on the skin. I finish with afterwax soothing lotion.

Jobs a good un!

The only reason a client would be sticky after waxing is because there is wax left on the skin. So make sure you remove it all! I'm not being sarky... just look for any little patches that may be left and use a fresh strip to pick them up.

Then apply oil after waxing and wipe away any excess oil firmly with a clean paper strip.

Use a strip to clean up any sticky bits of wax you can see and then use a product called "Remove" by Clean + Easy waxing system which cleans up any sticky bits you miss. Then you put your afterwax lotion on.

You only use a tiny bit so will only add a few pence to your treatment cost and if it means clients are happy and return then it's worth it.

I also apply oil after, but I use a clean piece of couch roll. I scrunch it up and wipe firmly over the area to remove any stickiness and excess oil that could get onto their clothes. xxx

As everyone else has said, apply some oil afterwards. I massage it in, not only does it remove any excess wax but it's very soothing for the client too.

Ahem, obviously I wouldn't do this if I had just done a Brazilan!!!
