tonight i was waxing and feel as though i have lost all confidence...no matter what i did the hair wouldnt come out..i used Australian body care tea tree wax and it was as if tha hair was just sliding through. the wax was coming off on the strips...but the hair stayed put...her hair was fine..and not course

I have had this happen to me before and changed my wax and it never happened again.
It's really annoying but dont feel like you have lost confidence, just see it as you have come across a problem and you are going to solve it!!
Did you apply too much oil before hand? Maybe use talc next time? Was this a client or a friend? xxx

I personally was not happy with their wax...I felt it stuck more to the skin....also my clients found it more painful with this wax....

So I changed back to my salon system cream wax......for me it's the best cream wax I have used.

Thanks

Angela

it was a friend thankfully as i couldnt have charged for it...i will go back to normal honey wax and see if that helps...

Waxing is a continual opportunity for humiliation. Some time s**t just happens and we move on. The reasons? prep not perfect for their skin / body too cold or too hot / strip not sticking to the wax / wax not correct temperature.

Any number of those things can make it go wrong. I recommend going into another room, swearing like a sailor and coming back to finish the job however you need to.

goes to another room ...swears...and gets out the TWEEZERS...this may take me some time...please dont worry ..grins

PS thanks Lori

hahahahaha YES! that is wonderful advice, a few weeks ago hurricane gustav came through my city and we were forced to evacuate, when i returned to work my employer had failed to go to the beauty supply to pick up strips... I DID A FULL LEG WAX WITH 4 EFFING STRIPS!!! but first i excused myself from the treatment room and i used every 4 letter word in the book!! but my client had no clue there was even a problem!! its amazing what a lil cussin will help!!
DO NOT loose confidence in yourself! As was previously stated, sometimes sh*t happens!

I have just been and done a bikini wax today and I have exactly the same problem. I agree with you that it does knock your confidence - but you have just got to keep trying.

It started off ok, but then as I got closer to the knicker line the hairs would not come out and the wax just stuck to the skin. No matter what i did I couldn't get them out. She was also left REALLY sticky.

I think it is the wax I'm using. I got some forest floor wax to give it a try and I think it is crap? Anyone else had problems with it? Think I am going to try a creme wax from wax master or salon system and see if that is better.

Any advice?

Can you expand on why you have had problems with forest floor. I would be interested to know.

which wax out of them did you use, was it a cream or honey wax.

At the minute I am using the tea tree cream wax. It smells lovely, but I have found that it is REALLY sticky. No matter how much after wax lotion, oil I put on it stays the same.

a good way to get rid of sticky residue is to apply some oil over the area and massage in and then wipe with a wax strip which will remove any sticky residue that is on the area.

hope that helps

I think I'll give this a try next time. Going to do some waxing on myself to use a bit of the wax up and then will have a change I think. :irked:
