Just a flip-side from AnneMarie's topic...

Meant to be light-hearted fun, ok?

Me personally,

This first one is not in jest... Thought I'd get serious one out the way first and that's the sadness at this time of year when we think about family/friends that are no longer here with us.

Stress of what to get for presents

Stress of how to pay for presents

Stress of finding a damn parking space while going to buy presents

Stress of cooking dinner and making sure it's all ready at roughly the same time

Stress trying to remember who wants what on their plates

Crowds of people while food shopping while I'm trying to get round with my 1 trolley and they have 2 or 3 and shop like Armageddon is coming!

Putting on weight... (from all the chocolate)

The mess. The tree comes down New Years Day! Sod, waiting til the 6th

And I'm really sorry ladies but the worst thing about Christmas is...

Cliff Richard!

Bah, humbug!

hahahaha, yes, have to agree on the Cliff Richard part :wink2: I have got better each year at not stressing about it. At the end of the day it is about being with your loved ones, not what presents you get, we have a new rule this year of presents for children only, this has reduced the stress incredibly as all I hear from adults is, I don;t want anything, which they do really, so then you have the stress of trying to find something unusual that doesn't cost the earth.

Last year I made my immediate family some fudge and coffee creams and gift wrapped them in pretty bags with ribbons. Did them hampers too with homemade chutney, the sweets I made and some stocking filler type things like a mini hot water bottle, socks etc. They LOVED them and the stress was much less for me. They appreciated and loved it more because it was homemade.

Christmas is what you make of it, if you don't want the stress, find ways to reduce it I say :D xx

I dislike when Xmas is over .........depressing.

I dislike going food shopping for Xmas because it's packed people think it's ok to stand in the isle whilst chatting about the incontinent nan coming for Xmas (not being nasty to incontinent Nans I had one)or the fact there full of cold whilst saying this there coughing all over you.people leaving the trollies in the isles while they wonder around getting there shopping :lol:It really gets my goat I end up shoving trollies around and basically repeating the words FOR F**k SAKE or even for that lucky person F**K OFF I know it's not very professional but I can't muster up professionalism when food shopping hate it:lol::lol: x

I dislike the cost of Christmas,
Buying presents for the sake of it.

I love, writing cards for my ladies,
Christmas eve,
My TiVo box so I can record everything 😃(hate the tv on, on Christmas day)
Cooking for loads of family,
Elf, Miracle on 34th street, it's a wonderful life and White Christmas 🎄

I dislike the post Christmas morning present unwrapping clean up  I have three little girls that always get spoilt by everyone (despite me telling people to calm down with the gifts). The amount of packaging and paper etc it creates is bonkers and sadly it can't all be recycled .

I am disliking christmas this year cos I wont be seeig my children or my grandchildren, just me & hubby, this year, very depressing.
:-( x

That's too funny!

I dislike Christmas for the following:

* The commercialism. We as a society seem to have lost the TRUE meaning of Christmas...the birth of Jesus Christ. It's not about shopping, trees, lights, food, etc.

* As Christmas is a time for family, it just reminds me of the family I have lost and will never spend another Christmas with.

I don't want to be depressing but that's how I feel.

Cat climbing in the Christmas Tree..... enough said!!!!

Without a doubt, the queues and traffic jams! Sadly, late night shopping can even ruin your commute back from the office!

Go onto youtube and search simon's cat. Its a series of cartoons which are brilliant. He does a christmas tree one which perfectly captures the essence of cat.
