ok well im a bit disapointed with my new DD set.

I dont it on a friend last week but before the week was out she had chipped one nail, then a day later 2 more came off. I redone the few that had came off and added an extra coat of super shiney. now another one has came off.

I put alot of adhesive on corners and complete strip to make sure they were adhered properly, so im thinking maybe the adhesive is not very good. Have tried NSI brush on adhesive and will see how that goes, but what adhesive does everyone else have and how have you got on with them lasting. I thought that these should last at least 2 weeks. Thanks.

Are you using the Dashing Diva Base Coat and Top Coat? I think DD is only supposed to last 7 to 10 days.

I use Gelbond with Dashing Diva and find it works perfectly it seals it on to the nails really well.
I tried the glue I got with it but found it didnt last that long.

I use gelbond or Mercia nail glue - the one in the pack is rubbish. So far Mersia had been my best reults x

I use Gel Bond (CND) and don't have a bit of bother with them staying on, and I've never seen one chip :D.

thank you to you all for your help, thought that I would need a runny adhesive. I will give gelbond a try. I do use the base and top coat with it and thought that an added layer of super shiney might help as its so good and lovely and shiney.

Thanks again

Abi

When you use the gel bond, does the dashing diva still come off easily or are you removing it differently?

It depends what system I'm using the DD with as to how I remove it.

I use the adhesive that came in the kit with no problems with them.

I use the brush on resin that comes in the kit and never had a problem.
Are you applying thinly and not over loading the corners and the strip?
Are you pressing firmly in the centre and then applying pressure in a sweeping motion to wards the edges? Using both your thumbs simultaneously pressing from centre to edges, sweeping across a few times? Resin sets via pressure, this assures a secure bond.
Just a thought xx xx

hi

i have even tried using nsi polybond and the new ones that i replaced have chipped as well. I held down and applied pressure for a while so cant see that they are not adhered properly.

Do you think that puting too much adhesive on can cause them to chip. maybe i should try the gelbond and see how long they last. i have only tried these on one friend as she is my guinea pig everytime i have something new. the only other thing is she actually has ski slope nails but not that bad, just a little so not the best nails to do. Do you think that this could cause chipping. Thanks. Abi

That could be the problem, I did a cleint with ski slopes nails, and they lasted 24 - 48 hours- the DD did not like her nail shape at all!!
