ive just started up my own beauty dept. inside a hairdressers and im trying to introduce a professional skin care range ive worked with a few in the past but its impossible for me to stock them because of the initial outlay u need, my friend is in a similar position but she decided to go with a face and body range and it cost her £3,000 i just cant do that  can any 1 help? please?? xx

£3,000 isn't that expensive in the grand scheme of things, mine was double that! That said in taking Decleor on I covered that cost quickly within my first year & have made a very big profit.

However, if you are risk averse or cannot secure these kind of funds from a loan or similar, then there are plenty of other ranges that don't involve this sort of outlay, although every range will have an amount you'll need to spend before the range becomes useful.

Take the "minimum opening order" issue that is much vaunted. You may be able to open an account by just buying a cleanser, but it's not going to be very useful for providing a range of treatments! So don't be allured by the "no minimum opening order" statements, rather ask how much you'll need to spend to get a range of products that will enable you to carry out the treatments.

we use dibi in our salon and they dont require a minimum order. give them a ring on 02082481504 and get them to send you out some info. they are very friendly and helpful and we love their facial range.

I second the Eve Taylor idea! I am mobile so it works for me as there's noi minimum order.

Eve Taylor defo. The pioneer of aromatherapy, purest essential oils incorporated into all the products. Great natural smells, no minimum order, retails easily. So happy with them. Give them a call!

there are a few companies out there that offer very low or no minimum order start ups which are good, its not necessary to go and spend thousands.
I have sampled lots and keep going back to eve taylor

thank u all soo much its always soo hard to know which way to go and hope u dont get it wrong i will def look into the couple that have been mentioned thank u again!:green:

is there a set treatment procedure for the eve taylor treatments as i have never heard of them?

SwissDermyl also have no minimum order, either at startup or any time after that. The products are extremely effective; they provide instant and lasting visible improvements to the skin. The facials are both luxurious and effective, and there is a good range of homecare products. The range is very comprehensive, but it's entirely possible to start with just a few products and build up as you are able.

Eve taylor all the way!!! Love the products and the prices and the products do what they say. Clients love the smell and always comment on it

I think it depends on how much you want skincare to represent your business. If this is what you would ideally like to specialise in then i think you need to go high end and make the outlay.

If it is only going to be part of everything else then you will be fine with a brand like eve taylor.Which is very good.

I like eve Taylor and use it on clients i have nothing but praise for it on the level that it is, but skincare isn't really what im that interested in.It is not on the same level as Decleor, elemis or dermalogica etc.

I dont use eve taylor on myself ,i like Clarins and Gatineau for my own skincare, Eve Taylor is a great product but it wont necessarily draw people in because its not well known, although i think thats changing a bit.
