does anyone else have this problem, since i started last sept training in 'nails' certain family members (that shall remain nameless but im sure you know who i mean lol) think that all i want for xmas/bday/treats etc is boots/tesco/sally hansen/other OTC stuff manicure/pedicure kits, now they never bought me these type of things before i started training, and they hear me spout off about creative solar oil and decent training and OPI polish etc often enough, how to i tell them without being offensive, id rather they didnt get me anything, because im building up quite a collection of these pressies, ready to use at the kids school fairs etc lol

arrrggggggghhhhhh, why ask me for a list of ideas but get me one of these instead pmsl

xxxxxx rant over sorry guys, had to get it off my chest xx

i know exactly how you feel hun last year i got a rimmel electric nail file?????????????????????????????????????????

They think they're being helpful that's all .... you're not on your own Nicky, it happens to me too, unfortunately.

Someone gave me pharmacy cheapo decals that don't stick:rolleyes: when everyone knows I do freehand art.

Yup... there are loons everywhere.

How about you 'regift' or give them to a local 2nd hand shop that sells to the poor or whatever? Donate to a women's shelter? I'm sure those poor women could do with some cheering up:green:

I got a two of those !

I never liked the look of those things even before I started training etc, and to be honest, just find them plain scary.

Why does anybody think putting a metal disk with sharp bits on it to your own nails would be a good thing ???

do you know, there must be an abundance of DIY mani kits flying around as pass it on pressies or schol fair prizes etc rofl:lol::lol:

I get aromatherapy bits for my presents, but usually cheap stuff which I wouldn't use. At the end of the day, I would add essential oils to my own bits to know that I was getting the real thing.

Someone bought me bathbombs from LUSH one year, thats after I gave her homemade ones the year before. and they were yuck, smelt really fake.
