I have recently bought some of the Eurose non strip wax but am now really confused as my friend mentioned that the way you apply it may be different to how we were taught at college. At college we were taught to apply hot wax against the direction of hair growth then build up with figure of 8.

Can anyone tell me how I should be applying the Eurose wax? Haven't used it yet on any clients so thought I'd make sure before I made a complete idiot of myself!

Thanks.

Hi Hun,
Not an expert on this wax however i think it may be one of the new generation waxes. Loubylou is a trainer for Berins it may be worthwhile speaking to her. She will give you excellent advice x

Thanks Diesel. Loubylou or anyone else - any advice really appreciated?

Oops!!! Just re read what i put lol. Loubylou uses Berins. However i know that she has is familiar with the Perron Riggot. Axiom is definately the man to ask.
I do use Perron Riggot however am not familiar with the one you speak about!! x

Also Kim Lawless is a Perron Rigot guru so would be worth asking...

The methods of application of waxes has come on leaps and bounds and the old figure of 8 routine is somewhat old hat now day's (although still taught in some colleges )

Most wax educators would be able to help you but for the Eurose PR brand specific your probably best sending Kim a PM.

HTH

Yep, we had one lesson of hard-wax, & this is kind of how she showed us. *tut*

But happily Kim Lawless will be doing my hard-wax training in Sept,
& she uses Peron Rigot, so yep,
Kim is your woman for info regarding this wax (though I'm certain a good few geeks on here can help too)

:)

In a nutshell - apply in a strip with the direction of hair growth. Allow to set, just touch it to test it. Then flick the end and pull the strip off against growth keeping the skin taught.

None of this figure of 8 stuff going on. Apply with, remove against. Its like strip wax ... just without the strip!

I'm sure one of the trainer bods will be along to give a more detailed explanation.

Mat xx

OMG thanks, what an idiot i would have been doing the whole figure of 8 thing. Sounds so much easier than the old hot wax method I was taught at college. Am really looking forward to using it now!

Thanks all for the replies.

Kim, if you see this, do you do waxing courses in the Midlands at all?

There is absolutely nothing wrong with the old fashioned figure of eight wax and it is still used by many successful companies strip being one, waxers to many a celeb that prefer to use lycon hot for intimate.
It is just a different wax.I have used all the waxes and i love Berins and perron rigot and i still like my figure of eight hot wax.if you use a good quality hot wax in the right way it is brilliant and every bit as good as a film wax its just trickier to learn.
You get a swirly haired armpit and i bet hot wax will get it out in one whole go with just one strip no matter what direction the hairs are in.
To say anyone using it is out of date and shouldn't be using it is wrong ,as is that it is not as good, because it most certainly is in the right hands. If you want to use ,practice to do it correctly, buy a decent one and certainly dont be ashamed to say you do.
IM GILLIAN W AND I USE OLD FASHIONED FIGURE OF EIGHT WAX VERY SUCCESFULLY THANKYOU VERY MUCH AND I FEEL NO SHAME.

Apply Perron Rigot Eurose WITH the hair growth and remove AGAINST. Just as you would with strip wax. You only need one layer just make sure that you have a good edge to flick for removal.

It should be applied in the same direction as hair growth......not back and forth.

Try Euroblonde or Escencial Rose next time as Eurose isn't my favourite and I think you'll prefer them. xxx

Excellent, thanks for all the help guys, knew I could count on you

Totally agree! I still use this method when doing armpits that have swirl hair patterns and get total removal compared with appying it in one direction. New hot waxes are brilliant compared with what we used 20+ years ago but you still have to note the direction/s of hair growth where a figure of 8 would be more suitable!:)

LOL LOL LOL......I totally agree Gillian. A good wax is important but in the wrong hands, even the best wax will be a waste. Too much emphasis is paid to brands. It's all in the technique and skill. xxx
