My daughter is 11 soon and this year more than any other we are totally lost for ideas for what she and three or four friends can do to celebrate.

My budget would be an absolute max of £80 . . . hubby and I both drive so we could take them somewhere. But where? Done the zoo, done theme park, done home parties, done sporty parties. She's after something a little bit different.

Can anyone help please?

What about a beach party! I don't know how close you are to a beach but i live at the seaside so thats why i've thought about it!

My mum did one for me and she set up little portable barbeque's with food. juice! We had netball up and badmington and libo dancing (made from sticks found in the beach!)

It was dead good xxx

Oh gawd.... dunno really.

Are they too young for a girly makeup party or summat?

Or horseriding, maybe?

Are you close to a beach? A summer beach party maybe?

Sorry I can't be much help.................... :irked: My oldest niece is 11 next year and we're already panicking about what to get her. She got a Nintendo DS this year!!!!

what about a ceramics party where they can make their own little trinket boxes money boxes or mugs. I know my kids used to love doing things like that as they get to create something special for themselves and spend time together, they have something to keep after the event as well, which saves on goody/party bags.

Bowling, Cinema, Pamper sleepover!

God lol I hate "older" birthdays :green:
What about an X-factor type party...Get 3 adults to dress up as simon...sharon and the other one (is it louis?)
this will give the kids fits of laughter.....

Big huge FREE cardboard boxes from a supermarket....get it all painted up like the x-factor stage and somewhere for the adults (judges) to sit...
Loads of tinsel and sparkly poundshop bits for decorations etc....

See if you can rope in any more adults to do "backstage" hair and make up.......to pamper the "contestants"

Get some plastic wine flutes and fizzy pop with unberellas, and sugar round the rims, to make them feel like Celebs lol

Then have high school musical on full belt with a microphone, and let them go WILD lol ....

Might do that this year for my youngest ( will be 9 )
:green:

Edited to add.....I AM going to do this for my daughters party lol...and NO adult will escape me

LOL! That sounds hilarious! Make sure you get the video camera set up! They could be stars on You Tube! :green:

It's really on my mind now lol,
I can't wait,
I am planning it hahahaha I'm even going to be cheeky and ask the school do they have any large sheets of black paper to black out the windows in the living room lol.
Some cheapy flashy disco lights yayyyy bring it on !!!

The only thing is, my daughters really shy, so she will probably be the only one NOT singing lol, shes more of a "watcher" then will do it when no ones looking...:green:

How about a nail art party?? and give a nice basket full of hair accessories and lipgloss to her friends as a goodie bag, my 10 year old daughter loves all my glitters etc..
I do like the sound of a High School Musical party though :)

Just did a 12 year old party (some guets still 11) and had 8 girls for movie, pizza and sleepover. They took over the lounge, made each other over, then movie then into kitchen for pizza etc. all then bedded down on lounge floor, cushions, pillows sleeping bags etc. Not a lot of sleep, but they loved it, and it didnt cost a lot!!

I've been meaning to do this for my son who was 9 last December but didn't get time to arrange it with christmas and all that.

I was going to hire a dancer to teach them hip hop!

I saw it on CBBC Best of Friends and he was enchanted by it - so was going to hire the community centre, get him to invite 10 friends and do that!

ooo of course you can.....would you like to be simon...sharon...dani..or in charge of backstage ???

If my budget was tight then I would do the party myself, all of her girly mates round, Finger and toe nails painted, nail art, music, tea, cakes and nibbles, then if your daughter wanted party nags, you could do some mini bags with maybe some stuff from Claires, flavoured lip glosses, dinky nail varnishes, files, hair bobbles etc etc, that wouldnt be expensive, and the entertainment would be free, cos it would be you providing it!!

Another thing you could do would be for them to make their own t-shirts, Tesco Value Tees are about £1.50 then some fabric pens and glitters, est voila, maybe an even cheaper party bag idea?

I remember at 11 being a bit over organised parties and preferred the old sleepover at home and being left alone to giggle, chat and do silly things.

I would have thought if you have it at home, arm them with pizza, dvd's, pop and lots of makeup and girly things they will be quite fine and will organise their activities just fine.

I do a lot of pamper parties for this age group, they LOVE it!
