In your expert opinions which of these is the best hot wax?? I am about to start out and need advice. I had a brazilian last week with Perron Rigot and was left with some hair plus quite a bit of wax still stuck to me. Now I don't know if this is just a reflection of a bad waxer. It is only a week and I already have regrowth so not sure if hair just broke off. I want to offer my clients the best - help!! Thanks

I think it would be more likely to be the therapist not taking care than the wax because Perron Rigot is an excellent wax.
Which is better with any waxes is down to the therapist really its the same with all products, everyone will have their favourites so it is really better to find out for yourself.
I think there are a lot more therapists on here that use Perron anyway and have probably never tried Lycon so its not a question you are likely to get many answers too.

I agree that everybody will have their own preference for wax, but I have tried both and much prefer Peron Rigot to lycon.

Why not phone and ask to try a sample of each then decide for yourself after trying both?

I also think that it is likely to be down to the therapists technique rather that the wax.

Thanks girls and good idea I will phone for samples. Tina

If hairs were missed and wax was left on the skin, that would be the therapist.

If you had re-growth after a week, it may be your hair growth. If the hair broke off you would have stubble almost immediately rather than after a week.

ALSO... 'if' it was your first, or your first for a while, you will not have got the best result ... you need to be waxed regularly every 4/5 weeks for 4/5 goes before you can expect a really good long lasting result because of the hair growth cycle. When you have the hair removed regularly it will start growing back at the same time, giving you a longer hair free period.

hello

i used lycon for years but over a year ago changed to harley wax, they are cheaper and i think better than lycon, the guy i think its graham is really on the ball and not pushy. they do a great wax cleaner and pre and post wax oil too.

Hello,

Well Ive used both and Perron is def the best. Euroblonde is my pref. If there was wax left after treatment then it was your therapist - sorry dont like to diss others :irked: but who wants to go home with wax on your bits!

Bad waxer and not the wax for sure. I love Perron Rigot. xx

I have used both Lycon, Peron Rigot and Berins. I PR easier to work with than Lycon. However when I tried Berins blue, I prefered that over PR.

At the end of the day we all have our own preferences but I would be hard pushed to convert to another wax now.

I too have used Lycon, Berins and PR.

Lycon - is too brittle when it sets, not elastic enough.
Berins and PR - both very good wax, more elastic than Lycon.

Berins wax is blue which makes it hard to see the hair. I like to see the hair through the wax hence I am using PR Euroblonde.

I have also used both and preffer Perron Rigot. The smells of the lycon attracted me to try it, but agree with the above post that perron has more flex to it! lycon would often snap off as i removed it! perron strip waxes are gorgeous too and lasts me ages.
