Best UV top coat

Hi there, I was wondering which UV topcoat people used and recommended. Also what is the best method of application over the top of ordinary nail varnish. I had been told that you can use uv top coat on top of normal varnish as well as on top of gels

I love my NSI Glaze and Go , but you cant use this over polish on the natural nail , it will just crack .The only one I know of is Star nails Quattro you can use over polish on the natural nail.

Oooh, thats interesting to know, whats the Thermoshield application procedure please ? Ive just brought Star nails Quattro, and you have to apply 3-4 coats, and you cant apply cuticle oil after ..:irked:

I have the intense seal one. I really wouldn't bother with this one as I have had nothing but trouble with it. It cracks and bubbles and chips off!!!! although I found it's good on toes wierd

ive never heard that before,ive used it applying 1 coat and then applying cuticle oil afterwards and i had no problems.

Basically, you just polish and let the polish dry for about a minute. Brush on Thermoshield (one coat). It cures in 3 minutes with the heat from a 60 Watt light bulb or a 9 Watt UV lamp and lasts for two weeks.

My favorite uv topcoat is INM Finish Glaze - although I do not recommend it over polish - unless the polish is 100% completely dry.

For my polish clients I use Out the Door Topcoat. Dries in 2 mins over 2 coats of polish - pretty tough to beat!

My favourite uv gel top coat i've tried is the Entity One Gel top coat, i know i'm an Entity educator, but i just find it's lasted the longest on my clients than any others i've tried, and keeps its shine.

So thats my opinion xx

Thank you all for your suggestions on the best uv top coat. I did use star nails quattro on my training course but found that it bubbled over normal nail polish.

I have jsut ordered Out the Door to try as I had read good reviews on the Geek forum, but I will have a look at the other options as well.

My favourite is the one by young nails. The gel is very thin which allows you to get lots of applications out of one bottle. it cures to a really high shine and you don´t need to wipe off any uncured layer. It is really easy to use and the bottle lays comfy in the hand.

YN Finish Gel for me as well. You even get more applications from it if you place the bottle on top of the uv-lamp to warm up a little while working:wink2of course if you do gels:lol.
But from normal topcoats its Nfu.Oh A&A topcoat.
