Client got a free full set off me!!! I'm so mad.

Hey geeks,

has this ever happened to you, My 1st app today was gel (french),I applied as normal and when I'd finished and it was time to pay she turned round and said "I'm not paying for these their awful". Now they were perfect and even the other nail tech whom I work with agreed.. I then said well if your not happy I'll remove them now and guess what she wouldnt let me saying "she had another app to get to", I'm so mad....

Exactly Geeg. I too would not have let her out the shop either.

Just one thing, did you not ask her to pay before you painted them? I'd have then refused to have painted them if she had said they were crap.

The bloody bear faced cheek of it! I am not surprised your mad, like geeg says if she left the shop with them on "it is stealing" Its the same as trying a dress on and not liking it, you wouldn't walk out with it on refusing to paywould you ...I feel really furious for you.

Oh right. Sorry, i'm presently at college learning the silk system, so don't know how the gel systems works. I used to have Gel nails about 11 years ago but can't remember how they were created :o ~ i've had a few double Tia Marias since then, lol.

i once very many years ago visited a nail tech in her home and i hated the nails she did..but i paid and did not kick up a fuss i hated them that much i bit them off on my drive home and went to boots and brought a pack of stick on ones for my night out, but the one thing i did do....was never went back to that nail tech .
i treat people as i wish to be treated, i would have been so embarrassed to say that i hated them..
some people have got more front than brighton.

Well good on you that you were quick enough and attempted to remove them ,but she had another app to get to,- sure!
I probably wouldnt have the nerve myself to do this- but a clippers used on the tip horizontally and vertically would have broken off a lot of product very quickly and then she could come back (when she had time-lol)for removal.
I can imagine how annoyed you are,but everyone reading your post,is on your side and will remember the advice given if and when it happens to them.
I know I will.

Do you have her address from the client card? can u send her a letter with bill, and threaten small claims court? Thats sucks! I know ive refused to pay in restaurant, but we waited over 2 hours for a pizzahut lunch, but for nails??? thats crazy

That's absolutely disgusting!!

I had some nails on last week but didn't like them when i got home, I'd of course and just phoned up and said i didn't like them and they were great and i went back in, they agreed they weren't great, I soaked them off myself (due to time) and i now have a beautiful new set. If you treat people in the correct way they will treat you correctly back. I really hope the woman comes back in again so you can deal with her or I hope she gets her comeuppance some way (soon)!!!

Please don't get disheartened as luckily there aren't too many complete ******* in the world x

I have to agree here..what a right c*w!!!! just make sure that you tell as much techs as poss about her so hopefully she will find it very difficult in the future to have her nails done again!! Keep ur chin up tho love..xx

Thanks everyone for the replies,unfortunatly I've no way in finding her as she was a new client,come to think of it she probably didnt give me her real name. This indeed is a lesson learned, Can you ask for payments up front???
