Hi all - I've got a client coming today for manicure & pedi. She was boked in by her hubbie as a treat & he told me she had her nails done & had ripped them off!!

I told him I only do naturals but he said she really just wanted some tlc & so i agreed to have a look.

I use CND solar manicure so am thinking lots of solar oil & then a good massage with solar silk or butter but as I don't encounter this problem much I wanted to ask you experts...

Should the nails be left bare after with just the oil left on as a treatment or is it ok to apply a polish? I am just wondering if they are soft or split whether it would be best not to colour?

Of course, I will refer her back to her nail tech if they look like they need more than I can do.

Thanks alot for any advice.

Without seeing the nails it would be difficult to say.

I think it is important to have two communication with the client on this one as she may be totally disappointed it she doesnt have a polish but she may want the benefit of the mani without the polish to put her back on the right track.

Hiya

I would advise the Nailtiques After Articficial kit. It is specially formulated to repare nails that have been damaged by the application of artificial nails. I brought Nailtiques into my salon in October, it is my best selling treatment and the results are out of this world!

Hope this helps you

Thank you for your advice Oey & Natalie.

It made me feel more prepared for her. Her nails weren't bad in the end so I think she had pulled them off some time ago - they were just in need of a good shape etc so that's a relief for me anyway!!
