Hi i have found some california tan premium dark solution at a good price ... but wondered if anyone knew of it and had tried it ??

please let me know what you thought of it ..
I currently use Sienna x solutions .. ( although I tend to go a little orange on my ankles  )

Thank you :)

Oh and what do you do if you get someone who jumps around and fidgets alot when you are spraying them ???
silly lady kept doing childish screams saying how cold it was now complaing uneven on legs ... !!! She was constantly moving about ...I knew there would be problems :irked:

I dont know if it was the solution, but my sister had a california soray tan the other day and it was AWFUL, blotchy, heavy on certain areas etc etc.
Dont know whether this will help.
x

I never tried the calafiona tan. I trained in Fake Bake and I also use su-do and fink its great. Client sounds like a numpty, feel sorry for you.

my friend had a client whos armpits went green due to applying deoderant before she sprayed her and didnt know how to remove it... any tips on what to do... xxxxx

a salon in my town uses this, and i think though im not sure it only is in one colour, and everyone ive seen with it is very dark, and not nice looking imo

also with regard to the fidgety client,
you have to take charge and be firm!

Your friend should have done a consultation with the client and on the client card it should have the question
Are you wearing any deodorant today =
if the clients answer is yes then your friend should provide wipes to remove this,
if the client tells a little white lie then it is down to the client really,
the green should go after the colour guide is washed off and the tan should look fine hth

Hi there. I use the california tan. there solution comes in 2 shades, the golden classic- for fair to med skin tones, and then the premium dark for med/dar skin tones. I do love california tan and have always been more than happy with the results. I started off using the classic on myself but now i just have a light spray with the premium and i love the end results. Not too dark, the dha % in the premium is 10.5 % so not overly dark. were have you seen the solution at a discounted rate??????? thanks and best wishes. x

I have only ever tired it once.

It was in the salon that i was working in at the beginning of the year, i wanted to try it before we chucked it out and replaced it with Tantrick.

OMG... i was mortified!!!!!! I looked horrendus... I had to explain to every client i had that day that i was testing out old stock to see if it was worth keeping. I was soooo embarrassed when i had to walk (or shall i say run) to my car at the end of the day.

Once it was washed off it was like i had been attacked with that dark rimmel rub on tan (that washes straight off) it was horrible.

It only took me 2-3 showers to get it all off, but that was a good thing in my situation.

For a dark tan, Celebrity Secrets do 12, 14 and 16% strengths in the 100% Natural range

i use different brands for different situations but for dark it has to be Dusk by tandirect they have a fourteen and a sixteen which are really good at what i think is a reasonable price

California Tan is Amazing! Premium Gold is natural, perfect for light skins and lasts, premium dark is the same beautiful colour with a higher content. My clients LOVE it. I am black so cant tests tans on myself so the fact that I have never had a complaint, am out the door with tans and come so highly recommended in my town is def down to the product.

One word of advice I will give is that Cal tan should be sprayed from its own or advanced airbrush equipment. When you use one of those basic HVLP machines it sprays out too much and the excess will cause problems. You only need a light spray of any tan as the DHA will do the work, spraying someone 2ce or heavily will just result in problems.

I have used 7 diff makes over my years and THOROUGHLY tested each one Cal Tan is def the best - not the darkest but the all round best out of the ones I have tried and most natural. I also stock Fake Bake for those wishing to be darker and it is not my cup of tea but dark tanners like the look.
I have been tanning since 2002, teach tanning and own a salon so I only want a problem free experience tanning experience for my clients.

Hi There,
I have used California Tan in my salon for 6 years, i have tried almost every tan on the market and California Tan is by far the best. I have a large client base who usually tan every 1 or 2 weeks, they are very particular and will never go anywhere else now.
The Gold and Premium Dark are obviously suited to different skin shades, i usually find i do more Dark tans in the summer and then the Gold is more popular in the winter. The key to a perfect tan is good preperation and looking after it whilst developing (both are down to your client) be strict with them as your reputation rides on this. The more important part though is your application (spraying) and there is definately a knack to it- if your clients tan is blotchy, streaky, orange....and they have done their bits correctly....then its down to the application im afraid! PRACTICE....
Good Luck and happy spraying!!!:smack:

I have trained in tanning and worked with nearly every brand of tanning out there. Cal Tan I have been a trainer and the above is very true, you cannot use it with any other machine and the spraying technique is very different to other brands.

When all of these are applied it really is a beautiful tan.:)
