Hi I'm new to this and am thinking of calling my new salon Naked Beauty but do u think it sounds dodgy?! It's in a sort of affluent area so don't want to offend! Or what about Tarts & Toffs?!
Ta Joy x

Hi

you say your opening up a salon, In which proffession are you quallied in?

I am an Holistic and Beauty Therapist so I wanted something related to my proffesion.

I would be very carefull what you call yourself as people can be a bit funny.

If you want my honest opinion both sound alot away from a salon, sorry but you have to think if your opening a SALON or a BROTHEL lol:)

But is entirley up to you what you call your business but I would see what others think when then reply.

Yeah I guess you are right.
I didn't want it to sound to beauty salon if you get me?
I want it to sound unisex so men wont think it sounds girly and feel comfortable.

Hmmm, yes those names do make the place sound like a knocking shop . . but I know where you're coming from. Difficult not to sound girly, I do understand your dilemma.

How about Bare Beauty? Or is that still too "revealing"?

.x.

dont forget aswell when u r considering ur salon name a lot of people try to think of names that are at the beginning of the alphabet because if people are searching for u in a directory of sorts they tend to only look at the first few at the beginning and most directories are organised alphabetically. Good luck let us know what u decide :)

I like Naked Beauty :) xx

ima I'm not keen,
you could just omit the 'tarts', & just call yourself 'Toffs'.
Then everyone feels posh, & no-one feels like a lady of the night :)

I quite like Naked Beauty. If you were mobile, I'd say No No No!, but a salon is fine. xxx

I'd be careful using a word like Naked. It's the type of keyword that weirdos use to search the internet for porn etc. Your website and salon could attract all the wrong sort of attention:eek:

Jes

I like Naked Beauty too....

I think it sounds fine... Tarts and Toffs I am not keen on to be truthful.

The word Naked isn't smutty or anything in my eyes... if it was Stripped Naked Beauty maybe...but just Naked Beauty is nice

Im not overly keen on either of them and I would say the second one is asking for trouble.

Most clients that are on the posher side like to give off a wealthy image and I expect most of them wouldn't like to be known as toffs or tarts ! lmao

I think you could get away with naked beauty, although i imagine some people will immediately think of a naked woman !

I don't think either of those names are right for an affluent area tbh, you need something classy that gives the impression of relaxation and tranquility - also the Naked Beauty thing does leave itself open to misinterpretation.

I think I must have a pure and clean mind as I just don't see it being represented in any other way :lol::lol:

maybe Pure Beauty would be better....

Nah I didn't see anything wrong with it until it was pointed out - cos we're normal, non-pervy people. If you're a sleaze and you see somewhere called that you might think that it's the staff that are the naked part!

IS your name Joy?

Cos someone elses reply got me thinking, why dont you call it 'Pure Joy' ?

After all its a joy to have a treatment and if your in an affluant area the word pure may appeal to those who wish to be beautiful but natural.
Does that make any sense? lol
