I need some advice, I decided to go for the essential nails Acrylic overlay course in April along with the maintenence and nail art courses and havent even started any of them yet!! I really dont know where to start and feel so alone having had no contact with the company since the day I signed up, I feel so alone and not sure whether to just give up with the idea or not.
What would you do? I thought I might have had email or letter from Essential nails seeing how im getting along but not a word.

Thanks

Are you in the Essential Nails group on this site? The whole idea with the courses is that you do them in your own time, at your own pace. I think if they asked me how I was getting on so soon I would feel like I was being rushed, and I hate being rushed! (that might be just me though!) Don't forget they are always on the other end of the phone or you can drop them an email when ever you want.

I think it would make sense for you to start with the Acrylic overlay first (thats the one I'm doing) and admitadly, it was a little confusing at first but if you sit down with a cuppa, watch the dvd all the way through, have a read of the book, I'm sure you'll soon get your head round it! And to be honest, I haven't contacted them for any help yet, I speak to the girls in the group I mentioned above:hug:

Thanks Lucy :).

I was just feeling quite alone and worried I had made a mistake, I will defo get the dvd out and watch it through first and get motivated to start. I think Buying all 3 courses together scared me a bit!! lol

This is why i believe sitting in a class with a tutor watching and guiding you along is so important,
you don't have to sit there confused and watching a dvd for hrs on end as everything is explained and shown and you can ask questions there and then and get the answer as well as been shown at the time,
it may be an idea for you to book some training in a class to get a head start then use your home study courses, hth

I bet it did lol seems like a lot to take on in one go, but I reckon if you put the maintenence and art ones away and forget about them til you have finnished the acrylic overlay, it will seem less daunting!

And remember you have as long as you want really, as long as you don't take months on end lol I started my course in March I think?! But due to work commitments etc I've not been at it as much as I should have been, thats the down side for me, motivation to do it!!

I agree loubylou! Really good advice. I did a home course with essential nails and you can send the nails off to them to get feed back but they tell you what to do to improve what you have done wrong and nothing beats being shown.

hi hunni go onto the net on the site and request a call back if youneed help you will prolly talk to Sarah she is really nice and will give you all the help you need !!

and there are plenty of en users on here im one of them !!

The dvd and book tell and show you everything you need to know, it's very straight forward and easy to follow, you can replay anything you get stuck on, I haven't had to call for advice yet. To be honest, I see little point in spending even more money on a class based course at this point when you have already bought the Essential Nails ones.
