Hi all!

I would like to offer Coloured Gel toes this summer on my service menu. I am a little rusty with gels and would like to know other than the obvious (cap it off) is there any other major tips i should be aware of? Also how long before a refill for toes do you think?

Thanks :D

I apply the base layer, 2 thin coats of colour and top coat - curing between each coat.

I don't infill toes, just buff off and redo - HTH

Pretty much the same as Adele but I find it difficult to buff off on toes so I use a soak off gel and soak off each time. Normally 5 to 6 weeks between each appt.

You can check my website www.gelessentialz.com, There is a tutorial page and I have two videos demonstrating gel toes. HTH

Keep toe nails short and overlays thin....toes don't wash up or make beds so no real strength is required...and if they are too thick and you bash em, eekkk...nasty.

The only time ive had a greenie was with someones toes so i would say that its very important that if they start to lift or get bashed to get them seen to asap especially when in flipflops and in and out of water.

They look great if you sprinkle some glitter onto the dispersion layer of your base coat then carry on with your next coats to lock it in hth

Same as the others but with coloured gels I run a toothpick around the edge for my mm gap

try the new mani-q gel that young nails has broght out.. They were demonstrating it at gmex - they put a layer of mani-q then sprinkle glitter on - cure under the lamp - then another layer of mani-q, cure again then their finish gel - it looks great I had mine done there and they are still on looking great and its been at least 3 weeks since the show :)

I love doing gel toes))) Clients love it too)))

Here is how i apply:

1. prep toe nails the usual way
2. one thin bonding layer with clear gel, cure 2 min
3. 2 coats of colour applied thinly, each one cured for 2 min
4. brisa gloss, cure 2 min

same as girls described already.

removal:

i use electric file, bit with fine sanding band, on the very low setting, because there not a lot to remove a all, it takes 5 min on each foot.

alternatively i use 150/240 grit file in bumerand shape and ently buff the product away.

with gel removals the main thing is not to go too far and not to start removing the natural nail, practice makes it easier.

hope this helps:hug:
