Loads of you have galleries with pictures of glitter nails/tips.
Where do you get this stuff?
Is it glitter that you then just add in another pot with your pink acrylic powder or does it already come as an acrylic powder?
Sorry if i sound a bit dim.
New and not taught by the great CND

Me too, great range of colours, great service and she is a geek too:lol:

So have you just used another pot and mixed them together?
What ratio would you use?

The glitters come already measured in a pot that you just fill to just below the screw part of the lid. I think I've explained that right? :) That gives you the right mix ratio for that type of glitter. Having them already weighed out is great!

Brilliant, thanks very much for that.
My other half is guna go mad when i tell him ive found more stuff to buy for my nail kit! ive already filled a workmans tool box thats as big as a suitcase (like an airhostess type pull along one)!!
He's struggleing with how much stuff i have already!!! :green:
Wahoo, cant wait to get practising with glitters.

Any recommendations on colours?

Sometimes i mix my Glitter Powders. Just take about 2/3 of Clear Powder an 1/3 of the Glitter you would like. Then try it. If it don`t cover well enough add some more glitter.

I haven't used Nail Graphix but I believe they are very good, but just so you have a choice, I use Young Nails Glitters in the same way.

i use glitters from a cake shop,so its a similar idea to those geeks who use glitters from a craft shop.
they have an excellent range of colours and are a great price.x

Alot of the gel come in glitter colours already so no need for mixing into the gel etc. just brush on and cure under uv lamp as with clear and coloured gels.

I like EZ Flow's Boogie Nights glitter acrylic, it's already premixed. The company says you can use any monomer with their glitter powder, which I do. Although, everyone doesn't agree, I've never had any bleeding or lifting with their glitter when I use my normal liquid, plus they have a lot of cool colors.

I get my glitters from the trade shows, craft shops and make up stalls in markets hth

I use Ezflow for my colours, and love them if you look at my profile and click on all albums you will see what some of the colours are like.

hth :)

My last lot came from Hobby craft they have the very fine glitters as well as coarse cut ones and the ones that look like long strands.
But I love the colours from Fiona's nail grafixs:green:
Just remember if you are mixing your own,
Lighter colours mix with clear darker can be mixed with pink
One part glitter two parts powder.
Put a thin layer of your glitter where you want it and then clear over the top so that when you file to shape you don't end up rubbing all the colour of the glitter.
I have 3 huge boxes of nail stuff and my hubby now comes to nail shows with me:lol: And makes sure I have a bit extra to spend for that special something I always spot that makes me go:eek::eek:
He'll do anything for a peaceful life:lol:
