Hi all you luvvvvly geeks!
I have a bit of a quandry and was wondering if I could get some advice or thoughts.
My salon has been open 6 months and at the minute I use Eve Taylor skincare and Algologie. I love Eve Taylor and so do my clients. It's a great relaxing facial, but I wanted another brand that was a bit more results driven - especially for anti-ageing. So I went with Algologie. But I really don't like it. No offence to other users of the brand - I'm sure there are people who love it, but I just don't get on with it. I got some samples from Swissdermyl today (thanks for your help Lynne!) and I really like it. It seems to be much more my kind of product, and i wish I had known about it at the start.
Anyway, my problem is this: I am seriously considering changing brands for my specialised skincare, but I'm worried that my clients will think I'm fickle and wonder why I'm changing. I don't do that many Algologie facials, NONE of the body treatments and haven't retailed a single Algologie product since opening.
Is it ok to change brands? Have any of you done this with success? Any advice would be greatly received. Also, if anyone wants some nearly brand new Algologie stuff, pm me for details!

Hi

If you're not happy with the products, then you must change them

Just tell your clients you've discovered something better. Focus on what you like about the new brand rather than what you don't like about the old brand.

I would say, do it as soon as possible and update your website and literature so it's quickly forgotten about.

I had a very similar situation to this last year. I ended up taking on another brand and it worked out fine. My clients like the fact that I am constantly looking, on their behalf, to bring in new products and treatments. The trouble is aswell, you will not be selling the facials to your clients if you have no love for the products. Go for it!

I Agree with Zoe and Kelly!
Enjoy Swissdermyl - it's fab.

i changed from susan molyneux to dermalogica last year all my clients were fine with the cange over i explained that i felt sm had got left behind and i wanted the best i could offer them for there skin i now do many more facials and have more than doubled the amount i retail so the switch didnt put them off! xx

I'm in the process of changing over to Environ and my enthusiasm has rubbed off on my clients and they are as anxious as I am to finally get our hands on the products! Be honet with your clients and they will know that youre doing it for their benefit.

i agree with everyone else, if you are not happy then you need to change. your enthusiam and excitment abuut changing will rub off on your clients.

Germaine De Capuccini is results driven and covers a wide variety of skin problems. The training is excellent and affordable for a high end product. I researched this carefully before I made my choice and always came back to Germaine.
