Just a quick update.

My client has invested in some South Beach Lightening Gel and has started using it.

I will keep you posted on whether the product actually works or not.

The correct term is anal / genital bleaching. This is becoming very popular over here in the UK now but has been popular in the rest of the world for about 5 years now.

I have been using South Beach in my salon for about 6 months now and add it on as an extra to all of my intmate waxing clients as south beach can be used directly after waxing as it is completley natural and is specifically for lightening the anal area and also the genitals. It is very expensive but well worth it my clients love it. I have heard of people using jolene bleach but dont use this as it is too harsh and could cause burning.

I also retail south beach to my clients because it can be used on underarms, nipples, face, arms legs etc infact anywhere on the body. I have had some fantastic results with it as well and all of my clients have been amazed that it actually does what it says on the packet if you know what I mean.

If you want any additional info then pm me.

I am verrrrrrrrrrrrrry confused now.

Are we talking about bleaching the hair? or the skin?

It is bleaching of the skin on darkened or shadowed areas.

Ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooh

Thanks

I've got a client who's in the adult entertainment industry and she asked me if I do this. I haven't as yet, but would be willing to offer it if I could find out about training etc.
Anyone know of where I could get training, and therefore, insurance?
Thanks!

I don't think there is any formal training required. Not sure if the skin lightening creams are legal in the UK, but if they are, just try it and see. xxx

Hmmm, I'm always really nervous about performing treatments without insurance - I reckon I'll have a natter with BABTAC before I get busy with the bleach!

I was thinking more from the view of the client buying the skin bleach and then just trying it out on an informal basis....rather than a professional basis. Let us know what BABTAC say. xx

My porn queen girlie wants me to do it for her (she's just come back from LA where it's as common as Braz waxing, apparently). I told her I can't/won't do it at the same time as her Hollywood though - can you imagine the sting?! Ouch!
Will let you know about BABTAC - I bet it makes their eyes water!

My very dark haired sister tried this once, many years ago, using facial bleach. She had bought a white bikini so wanted an all over blonde look.

She did it 3 times and still ended up bright orange. The hair was so dry and crispy that she rustled when she walked !!:eek::eek:

She had to use conditioner for ages nad didn't get to wear the bikini.

HA HA HAHA HA!!!!! best laugh I've had in ages!!!! PMSL!!!

it's not the hair she wants dyeing, it's the skin around the anus.

1. Tippex
2. Have you got her phone number?????????? :)

I heard of this a few years ago. Why the hell would someone want to bleach their bum hole? ha ha ..sorry guys but what next lol xxx

My client is an adult movie star where they have to have baby pink bums because it looks more "youthful". Ahem.
I still want to offer this as a treatment but am wondering what my insurance company BABTAC will have to say on the matter, as I'm not sure where I can get trained and certified. What do you reckon, David?

I've been trying to find a way to offer this to my clients - several of who have expressed a strong interest in intimate bleaching. I have road-tested several skin-bleaching creams and they work fine, but over time and with a daily application: much more suitable for DIY than salon. Does anybody know of a stronger, faster, salon-based method? If so, how do you become qualified so it can be added to insurance?

After much consultation with my colleague and font of all knowledge Kath, we certainly do not cover it and do not even know where you could find training - maybe ask Kim Lawless, can't think who else might know?

Thanks for that David. I'll keep looking!
